Eliminating My Human Notions

(Minghui.org) I went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing with other practitioners to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa in 2000, and we were arrested. The staff from our liaison office in Beijing took us back to our local police department. We were detained and persecuted.

I carried a pocket-sized copy of Zhuan Falun in my jacket when I went to Beijing. At that time, the police were destroying every Falun Dafa book they found. When an officer searched me, I thought, “Such a precious book must not be found. I cannot let people commit crimes against Dafa.” I silently told Master, “Master, please help strengthen my righteous thoughts. I want to protect this Dafa book and not let the authorities find it!” They did not find it.

A female officer searched me, and ran her hands over my entire body. I kept saying in my heart, “You can’t see it! You can’t see it! Don’t take my Dafa book!” She took the 200 yuan from my jacket pocket and left the Dafa book. She didn’t see it!

When we were illegally detained, because I had the book, we were able to read and memorize the Fa. With the Fa in our hearts, we were able to resist the persecution and overcome one tribulation after another.

I was held in a detention center for eight months. This experience made me truly realize how important it is for Falun Dafa practitioners to study the Fa well and how important it is for practitioners in detention facilities to have the precious book! So I decided to deliver Dafa books to practitioners who were detained.

Successfully Delivering Dafa books

I stood in front of Master’s portrait and said, “Master, please help me. I plan to go to the detention center and deliver Dafa books to practitioners.” I felt a wave of heat flowing through my body, and I wept because I knew Master was blessing me.

I bought a lot of food and daily necessities and bundled them together with a pocket-sized copy of Zhuan Falun, other books, and some clothes.

The next morning, I went to the detention center. The guards at the gate knew me, so they let me in. I clarified the truth to many people while I was detained there, including the guards. One guard surnamed Zhang is from my grandmother’s village and he is very kind. After he understood the truth, his conscience was touched. I asked Master to make sure he was on duty this time. When I got to the second gate, I saw that Mr. Zhang was there, and he was the only one on duty. I knew Master arranged this.

He was surprised to see me and said, “You just got out. Why did you come back?” I explained my intention. As he examined the items, I kept asking Master for his blessing to prevent Mr. Zhang from finding anything unusual. The security check went smoothly. I advised him to do good deeds so he would accumulate virtue. He took me to see the practitioners. I stood outside the gate, and I watched them receive what I brought them. We greeted each other, and then I left.

Through these two experiences, I realized that, as a practitioner, the difference between ordinary people and divine beings is a thought. If you treat issues with human notions, you are an ordinary person, and you will be constrained by human principles. If you cultivate based on the Fa and look at the problem with righteous thoughts, you are a divine being. An ordinary person will be constrained by your righteous thoughts, and miracles will happen. But this thought comes from long-term cultivation.

Master said:

“If you do not want to change your human state and rationally rise to a true understanding of Dafa, you will miss the opportunity. If you do not change the human logic that you, as an ordinary human, have formed deep in your bones over thousands of years, you will be unable to break away from this superficial human shell and reach Consummation.” (“Cautionary Advice,” Essentials for Further Advancement)

Removing our human notions, shedding our human shells, and becoming divine beings is what we need to do; it is also what Master wants.
