(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 24 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. He Cuihong and Ms. Yan Zhangxia of Hanchuan City were arrested at home respectively on September 18, 2025, by officers from the Wuchang District Police Department. They have since been held in the Wuhan City First Detention Center. They were tried by the Wuchang District Court on March 18, 2026.
Ms. Li Huaicai was sentenced to three months in prison by the Linshu County Court on March 5, 2026, for sending several text messages, “Falun Dafa is good, ”on her phone in early 2024.After she sent the messages, someone reported her. Junan County Domestic Security Division officers ransacked her home, harassed her multiple times, and released her on bail.The Linshu County Court notified her on the phone on February 12, 2026, that her trial was scheduled for February 26, 2026. When she and her family went there, she was arrested directly and put into the Linyi Detention Center without trial. Her family was told that the trial would be held on March 5.When they went to the court on March 5, there was no trial. They were given a verdict that she was sentenced to three months in prison.
Xiaodu, a nickname, was arrested on February 24, 2026, by officers from the Erdao Police Department. He or she is being held in a detention center.
Dong Dayin, gender unknown, was arrested in November 2023 for talking to passersby about the persecution of Falun Gong. Dong’s home was ransacked by officers from the Donghualu Police Station. Dong was released on bail after failing the entry physical exam for inmates. The Qiaoxi District Police Department submitted Dong’s case to the Qiaoxi District Procuratorate. The Qiaoxi District Court sentenced Dong to three years in prison, suspended for four years, and placed him under residential surveillance in August 2025.
Mr. Zhang Zhijie of Shahe Town was arrested by the Shahe Town Police Station officers on March 9, 2026. His home was ransacked. He is being held in Laizhou City.
Ms. Jing Chengying of Shahe Town was put into the Yantai Detention Center on March 10, 2026.
Ms. Wang Yaqin was released in January 2026 after finishing a five-year-and-six-month prison term.
Practitioners have repeatedly been harassed since September 2025 by police officers, community officers, and community secretaries. The officers were from the Liaocheng City Domestic Security Division, the Gaoxinqu Police Station, the Beicheng Police Station, the Xinqu Police Station, the Gulou Police Station, the Huxi Police Station, the Liaoda Police Station, the Liuyuan Police Station, and the Jiangguantun Police Station. Some practitioners were arrested. Some had their homes ransacked. Some had their pictures and signatures taken against their will at home or in a community office. Even some practitioners’ family members were called to the police station and forced to sign papers.
Here is the latest harassment since December 2025. The Xinqu Police Station harassed practitioners and ransacked the homes of individuals surnamed Shi, Zeng, Pan, Zhang, and others. The Jiangguantun Police Station harassed practitioners and ransacked the homes of individuals surnamed Deng, Yang, Zhang, Chen, and others. The Huxi Police Station harassed practitioners and ransacked the homes of individuals surnamed Wang and others. The Gulou Police Station harassed practitioners and ransacked the homes of individuals surnamed Hua, Li, Zhou, and others.
Mr. Wang Qiang was arrested on March 12, 2026, by officers from the Anxin County Police Department. He was subjected to detention, but the Anxin County Detention Center did not take him in because he did not pass the entry physical exam for inmates. He is confined to his rented apartment, and officers are stationed outside of it, because he refused to sign any police document.
The trial of Mr. Tang Zhiwei and Ms. Liu Xuemei was postponed to March 24, 2026, by the Meixian District Court. It was originally scheduled for March 9.
Mr. Zhang Xian lost his job again after his employer dismissed him under pressure from the Xianghe Police Department during the CCP’s Two Sessions in 2026.Mr. Zhang was a police civil servant in the Xianghe Police Department before the CCP started to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in 1999. After the persecution started, he was transferred out of the police department. He was repeatedly persecuted in the following 20 years. In 2023, he was sentenced to imprisonment and dismissed from his position as a civil servant.After he was released from prison in 2024, he worked for a media company. In March 2026, police called the company’s manager to the Xianghe Police Department and pressed the company to dismiss him. He was dismissed on March 11.
