(Minghui.org) Practitioners from Scotland and northern England held activities on Parliament Square in Edinburgh, Scotland, on July 26, 2025, calling to end the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP’s) 26-year-long persecution. Many people from different countries signed a petition calling for a stop to the egregious human rights violations. Some wanted to learn Falun Gong.

Many tourist groups from China passed by the activities, and Chinese tourists photographed the practitioners’ activities and accepted their flyers. A tour guide told a practitioner that he knew about Falun Gong and would tell his group. He also took some introductory flyers to distribute to them.

A group of students from Italy tried the exercises and said it was great. A practitioner told them how they could read the Italian version of Falun Gong books online and how to find the online exercise instruction video. After hearing about the persecution of Falun Gong in China, they all signed the petition. One student told the practitioner, “Thank you so much! You made our day!”

A German family of three told a practitioner that they learned Chinese martial arts and were amazed by the beautiful Falun Gong exercises. They returned later and talked to practitioners for a long time. After hearing the benefits of Falun Gong, they said they wished to read Zhuan Falun online.

Other visitors asked for contact information so they could join the group exercises in Edinburgh.

Nilufar, a college student in London, happened to visit Edinburgh with her mother, Nana. They were saddened by the persecution and signed the petition to call for it to end.

Beverly, a local resident, said that the CCP’s forced organ harvesting is unacceptable, and that Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are principles everyone should follow.

Many Chinese people were happy to receive information about Falun Gong. A woman from Hong Kong told a practitioner that she’s been following news about the forced organ harvesting, and she heard about the verdict from the China Tribunal in London. She appreciated Falun Gong practitioners’ efforts to stop the atrocities.

A Chinese woman who worked in Edinburgh was surprised to see Falun Gong activities. She took photos of their displays and accepted informational brochures. She said she had to leave for work, but would come back.

A tourist group of over 20 middle-school students from China happened to pass the Falun Gong booth. They read aloud, “Falun Dafa!”

A college student from China told practitioners, “I’ve witnessed the persecution of Falun Gong in China. I’ve signed your petitions several times, but I would like to sign again.”

One college student said his classmate and her family all practiced Falun Gong. Both of his classmates’ parents were sentenced to seven years in prison. The CCP also stopped paying her grandparents’ pension because they refused to stop practicing. The entire family’s income was cut off, and they were deeply stressed financially.

The Chinese student said he read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and quit all the communist organizations he joined. He had also helped his friends quit them. He said he also read Master Li’s recent articles, How Humankind Came to Be, Why the Creator Seeks to Save All Life, and Why This World Is a Realm of Unknowing.
