(Minghui.org) A resident of Miyun District, Beijing, was recently admitted to the Tuanhe Prison in Daxing District in the same city to serve a two-year term for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since 1999.
Mr. Liu Lanchun was arrested at home on December 15, 2024, after being reported for distributing Falun Gong informational materials earlier on. The police first held him at the Chengguan Police Station and later at the Jizhuang Detention Center.
A local court sentenced Mr. Liu to two years on May 26, 2025, and he was transferred to prison recently. Other details of the prosecution remain to be investigated.
