(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the Chinatown Main Street Summer Festival in Boston on July 5, 2025. There was a constant stream of visitors at the Falun Dafa booth, including local residents and international tourists. Many people, including many Chinese people, talked with practitioners and signed a petition which calls on the U.S. Senate to pass the Falun Gong Protection Act.

Practitioners demonstrated the exercises and told people about Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong). They distributed informational materials, clarified the truth about the persecution, and collected signatures on a petition to end the ongoing brutalities in China. They also told Chinese people that millions of their countrymen have already quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.

“The CCP and Kindness Cannot Coexist”

An elderly man stopped at the Falun Dafa booth with his wife and said, “I saw your Falun Dafa booth in Hong Kong. You are good people, but the CCP treats you badly.” After talking with a practitioner, he asked for the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.

One elderly Chinese man stayed at the Falun Dafa booth for a long time. He could not speak, so he conversed with practitioners through writing. He wrote in Chinese on a piece of paper, “I hope to see the demise of the CCP.” After that, he wrote, “Heaven is annihilating the CCP. The CCP and kindness cannot coexist.”

“I See Hope”

A young woman from South America approached the booth and asked about Falun Dafa. A practitioner explained what Falun Dafa is and told her about the CCP’s brutal persecution. The practitioner further explained, “Falun Dafa practitioners abide by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, so what they create is positive energy. The CCP emphasizes falsehood, and fighting with others. It does bad deeds, so the energy it generates is negative. If people are influenced by the negative energy, they will make mistakes. We promote Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. This positive energy can bring humankind peace and prosperity.”

The young woman said, “Hearing you say that makes me see hope.”

Another woman stopped at the booth and talked with practitioners. A practitioner explained that the CCP is using the American judicial system and the media to attack Falun Dafa and Shen Yun Performing Arts, a dance group that is made up of Falun Gong practitioners. As soon as the practitioner mentioned Shen Yun, the woman said she’d heard negative things about the show so she did not watch it, even though she knew about it for years.

The practitioner said, “We practice Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance and try to be good people and we do not do bad deeds. All these years, the CCP has been persecuting Falun Dafa and even harvesting practitioners’ organs while they are alive. The CCP also engages in transnational repression.” The woman looked shocked when the practitioner mentioned the live organ harvesting.

The practitioner continued, “All these years, Shen Yun has been known as the world’s top show. It promotes traditional Chinese culture and brings the power of compassion to people, inspiring them to be good. I hope that you can watch the show and experience for yourself what Shen Yun is truly like.” The woman thanked the practitioners for the information, and she also signed the petition calling for the Senate to pass the Falun Gong Protection Act.

People Sign Petition Calling on the U.S. Senate to Pass the Falun Gong Protection Act

Two women who recently moved to Boston stopped at the booth. A practitioner told them, “We are seeking signatures on an important petition that calls on the Senate to pass the Falun Gong Protection Act.” The women listened as the practitioner explained how the CCP forcibly removes organs from prisoners of conscience. One said, “We definitely will sign the petition.” Both women thanked the practitioner for their efforts and for doing something so meaningful.

A group of female university students came upto the booth and watched as practitioners did the exercises. A practitioner introduced the Falun Gong Protection Act to them. One young woman said she was from Virginia and she’d already signed the petition there and understood the truth. She said she was very happy to be able to support Falun Dafa. Another student signed the petition to support the call for the Senate to pass the Falun Gong Protection Act. Two other students also signed the petition.

The Falun Gong Protection Act

The Falun Gong Protection Act is a bill focused on imposing sanctions on individuals involved in forced organ harvesting in China, specifically targeting those who knowingly participate in or facilitate this practice. The act has been introduced in both the House and the Senate, with the House version (H.R. 1540) already passed and referred to the Senate.

This bill would require sanctions on those responsible for or complicit in the involuntary harvesting of organs and also require the Secretary of State to report to Congress on organ transplant policies and practices of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The CCP continues to engage in these atrocities, including against Falun Gong practitioners.
