(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 3 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Mr. Li Longji was tried by Henan Province’s Shangqiu City Court and sentenced to 22 months in prison on June 5, 2025.
Mr. Jiang Dexin was tried by the Shuangqiao District Court on July 4, 2025. His attorney entered a not guilty plea for him. The prosecutor recommended a prison sentence of 7-10 years against him.
Over a hundred Falun Gong practitioners have been detained at the Inner Mongolia First Women’s Prison since the onset of the persecution in 1999. They are subjected to brutal torture, brainwashing, sleep deprivation and forced labor.
At least four practitioners were tortured to death in the prison, including Ms. Yuan Shumei, Ms. Yu Xiulan, Ms. Zhou Caixia, and Ms. Tang Haihua. Five practitioners passed away shortly after they were released; they are Ms. Tian Sufang, Ms. Geng Xiulan, Ms. Chai Yu, Ms. Yue Shuxia, and Ms. Yu Zhenjie.
