(Minghui.org) I’d like to share the story of how my brother, who is a judicial official, came to understand Falun Dafa.

My brother was assigned to work in the production office of a forced labor bureau after he graduated from the university. He was later promoted to be director of the general office in the forced labor bureau during the persecution of Falun Gong. He was good at writing and was in charge of writing reports on how Falun Dafa practitioners were persecuted, which were sent to the Central Government. He became a tool of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

He was transferred to work in a provincial male forced labor camp in 2005. One day while he was on duty, a police officer beat a Falun Dafa practitioner to death. The practitioner’s family filed a lawsuit, and exposed the persecution on the Minghui website. Overseas practitioners made phone calls to the forced labor camp constantly. My brother held a position of responsibility in the labor camp and was thus responsible, so he received a lot of phone calls. He didn’t want to take responsibility, didn’t want to answer his phone, and talked viciously if he answered the phone. He was later transferred to work in a provincial female forced labor camp and was put in charge of employee discipline. He was then promoted again and took charge of construction work.

While he had good fortune at work, illness hit him unexpectedly. One day he drove to see me and invited me to celebrate the Chinese New Year at our father’s apartment. I was a bit surprised because he hadn’t contacted me for a long time because I practiced Falun Dafa. He answered a phone call while driving and swore at the person. He didn’t behave like that normally. I asked him who called and reminded him that he shouldn’t behave like that. He said angrily, “It’s from your Falun Gong people overseas.” I realized that overseas practitioners were calling him regarding the practitioner who was persecuted to death, and were clarifying the truth to him. I said, “You shouldn’t swear. It is for your benefit.” He said, “That’s not true. They call me all the time, even at night. I can’t even sleep well.”

I was worried that he might suffer retribution if he maintained such an attitude. Sure enough, he received instant retribution. Before we arrived at our father’s apartment, he said that he had a stomachache, and he returned home without having dinner with us.

His company later moved to a location near my home. One day my father came to visit me. My brother came to see our father. I took the opportunity to clarify the truth to him and urged him to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations to keep himself safe. I told him that he should have a positive attitude toward Falun Dafa and practitioners, or he could meet with serious consequences. I asked him to write a solemn statement and publish it on the Minghui website. He was not happy, and didn’t say anything. I gave more examples of retribution. My father started practicing Falun Dafa not long before, and also tried to persuade him to do the right thing. He didn’t agree until right before he was leaving. He agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. My father and I were very happy that he made the right decision.

Soon after he made the solemn statement, he told me that he had twisted his right wrist when he sat down on a sofa during a business trip. His wrist was painful for several days and he was not able to write articles. I said smiling, “Do you know that it was a good thing? You paid back your karma.” He looked at me and didn’t understand what I meant. I said, “Didn’t you commit crimes when you wrote so many fake articles? Don’t you have to pay that back? Do you know why your right wrist was twisted? Wasn’t it to remind you not to create more karma?” He laughed. It seemed that he understood the principle of retribution a little better.

I got a call from my sister-in-law in mid-May 2021. My brother had just been discharged from the hospital. He had been diagnosed with lung cancer and had surgery. I went to his home immediately. He was pale and weak, like a totally different person. He cried when he saw me. I comforted him, “Don’t worry too much. You have to suffer a bit, because you created karma when persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. You must bear it. You’d better practice Falun Dafa. This might be an opportunity for you to cultivate.”

I brought him a copy of Zhuan Falun. He said that he didn’t have the strength to hold the book. I gave him Master’s audio lectures, and he listened to them attentively. He underwent two rounds of chemotherapy. He had a much lighter reaction to the therapy than other patients. He listened to Master’s audio lectures every day and recovered quickly. His daughter took him to check ups in the hospital several times. The doctors were surprised at his speedy recovery.

He personally experienced the magical power of Falun Dafa and realized that it was the most advanced science. He feels very lucky to have obtained such a profound great Fa.

Three years have passed. My brother is in good condition. He and his wife didn’t contract COVID-19 during the pandemic. They read Master’s new articles “How Humankind Came To Be” and “Why Save Sentient Beings,” and have a better understanding of Falun Dafa.

He knows from the bottom of his heart that Falun Dafa saved him and has given him a second life. He knows that Falun Dafa has given him an opportunity to discern good from bad and true from false, and has enabled him to awaken, eliminate karma, and be saved. He is very thankful to Master and Falun Dafa.
