(Minghui.org) My job was to watch the ball mill. The job required three shifts, with two people on each shift. We needed to inspect once every half an hour during work, scoop up the materials that fell from the conveyor belt with a shovel, and put them into a cart. When the cart was full, we pushed it to the garbage dump. After a shift was over, we needed to do the cleaning inside and out. Although the job was not that tiring, it was very dirty.
There are things to help me improve my xinxing everywhere at work. My coworker Ping, who was on the same shift as me, was lazy and had a huge appetite. She would curse others without hesitation, and her words were nasty. After I started working with her, I basically did all the work myself. Ping just ate snacks in the lounge and would often take her male friends there. Sometimes I would feel unbalanced in my heart, but when I thought of myself as a Dafa practitioner, I remembered what Master said:
“Since studying Falun Dafa, these workers have been coming to work early and going home late. They work very diligently and will do any assignment their supervisor gives. They also no longer compete for personal gain.” (Lecture Four, Zhuan Falun)
I did my job according to the standards of a Dafa practitioner and allowed Ping to do the things she liked to do. My coworkers in other sections couldn’t stand it. Once, when I finished work and rested outside the workshop, coworkers in other sections were also there to enjoy the fresh air. One of them said to me, “Ping bullies you! You have to do all the work, we can’t stand it. Don’t spoil her, don’t do all the work by yourself.”
Once, the equipment broke down and a lot of materials fell to the ground. I shoveled them one by one, sweating profusely, dirty and tired. Ping was eating snacks in the room. I was very angry, but I thought that I am a Dafa practitioner, cultivating Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, so I endured it! Others couldn’t stand it anymore and asked Ping why she didn’t work. She started to curse at them.
Occasionally, I would do other shifts with other coworkers. I saw two of them from another shift scrambling to work, and no one was lazy. I felt a big gap in my heart. People on other shifts worked well together, why did I have such a coworker? My xinxing was impacted again and again. I used Dafa’s principles to warn myself, and I tempered myself again and again in the unbearable situation I was in. Once, Ping ate canned food and accidentally cut her palm. She had to get five stitches. I asked her to go home and rest. I thought to myself, “She didn’t work much anyway, so it wouldn’t matter.”
But after she injured her hand, she seemed to reflect on herself and felt that she had gone too far. She said to me, “I’m sorry you have to do all the work. Thank you.”
“It doesn’t matter,” I replied. “Your hand is injured, so I should do it.” She was able to do some work with her injured hand. I tried not to let her do it, but she insisted.
A year later, a coworker in another position said to me, “Can you come with me to find the factory head to get a transfer order? I will go to another unit and not work here anymore.” I went with her. After the transfer order was issued, she said, “Come work here. It would be a pity to give the position to someone else.”
I called my elder brother, who talked to my manager about this. I was then transferred to this position that everyone envied. There was only one person per shift in the new position, and I had a more comfortable environment to study the Fa. When others learned that I had been transferred, they pointed at Ping and said, “Now your good times are over.”
Ping couldn’t work well with anyone after I moved and she would often quarrel with her coworker. She came to me and said, “Others are not as good as you, not even close.”
I replied, “I am a Dafa practitioner, how can I be the same as others?” Over time, we became good friends.
Ping changed her job and quarreled with the supervisor in her new position. Every time the quarrel was brought to the attention of the factory head, he was helpless. When Ping was on the midnight shift, I asked her to come to my home before her shift because my home was close to our factory. When she came, she angrily said, “I had a fight with my supervisor at work.” I told her not to think too much about it and recommended that she watch Shen Yun on DVD. After watching it, she said, “I feel very comfortable. I don’t want to fight with my supervisor anymore.” From then on, Ping started practicing Falun Dafa.
A few years later, I was transferred to a more relaxed job, where I could study the Fa, do the exercises, and send forth righteous thoughts without interruption. I strictly required myself to meet the standards of a cultivator, and Dafa opened my wisdom. I mastered the skills required for the new job in just a few shifts. When I was on my third shift, the upper-level leaders planned to come to our unit to do an inspection, and we had to memorize two large sections of regulations. More than ten leaders came. Our factory head was afraid that I would not be able to pass the exam, so he introduced me to the leaders as someone who had just been transferred to this position. To their surprise, I memorized it all, and the leaders were satisfied. My colleagues in the same shift only memorized a few sentences after being reminded several times. The whole factory knew about it, and the safety officer said to our factory head, “This time your factory is doing well, and there is a very capable person here.”
In the new position, my professional skills were recognized by the leaders and colleagues. One coworker said, “One person like you is enough for this position.” I was able to perform so well, and that was due to the wisdom that Dafa gave me.
We are a state-owned enterprise, and discipline is lax. It is common for coworkers to be late, leave early, and be absent from their posts. I follow the standards of Dafa strictly and observe the labor rules. No matter what shift I am on, I do everything I can to ensure things are clean, indoors and out. The leaders saw it all, and let me take part in various skill training and other examinations. Once, the whole factory was assessing fire protection knowledge, and the section leader recommended that I go. I said to the leader: “We have people in their 20s and 30s in our unit. Let them go. I am over 40 years old.”
The leader replied, “I trust you.” At a meeting, the leader said, “Among you all, only she (referring to me) is good, because she practices Falun Dafa.”
As Fa-rectification progresses and Dafa practitioners clarify the truth further, more and more people know the truth about the practice and the persecution. Now many people shout “Falun Dafa is good!” when they see us Dafa practitioners.
I was walking home with a practitioner and saw a man and a woman on the side of the road. We went up to greet them and gave them a Dafa booklet to read, hoping that they would understand the truth. The man asked, “Are you Falun Dafa practitioners?” We said we were. He said, “I love reading Falun Dafa materials. Everything they say is true.”
One day, I was out walking with another practitioner and suddenly heard someone shouting, “Falun Dafa is good!” Looking back, it turned out to be a taxi driver I knew. He would always shout, “Falun Dafa is good” when he saw a practitioner he knew, no matter how many people were around. He dared to shout those words.
Another time, I was at a market, and a person who knew the truth saw me and said, “Falun Dafa is good!”
I responded: “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! Recite those words more and you will be blessed.” We both smiled.
Every year when the Minghui calendars are published, people who know the truth here scramble to get them. We often put a big bag of calendars on the ground, and everyone comes to get them. Some people give them to their relatives, friends, and children. Every family wants a Dafa calendar. Some people even reserve calendars for next year.
Falun Dafa has been deeply rooted in people’s hearts, and people are bathed in the grace of Dafa. It is our compassionate and great Master who gives people the last hope of salvation in this chaotic world.
