(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 7 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Wei Suwen Tried

Ms. Wei Suwen of the Xicheng District was tried by the Dongcheng Court on the morning of February 18, 2025. She was arrested by Tiantan Police Station officers on August 15, 2024, and held in the Dongcheng District Detention Center ever since.

2. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xiumei Faces Trial

Ms. Wang Xiumei of Quzhou County is scheduled to appear in the Congtai District Court on February 21, 2025.

3. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yang Jiangwei Sentenced

Mr. Yang Jiangwei was sentenced to 14 months in prison by the Lianshan District Court on the morning of January 16, 2025.

4. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Zhou Lidong and Two Others Arrested

Zhou Lidong, gender unknown; Ms. Wang Shuxiang; and another practitioner whose name isn’t known were arrested by about 20 officers from the Jiguan District Domestic Security Division on the morning of February 11, 2025. Their homes were ransacked. The police seized Zhou’s computers, cell phones, printers, and many other personal items. It is not known where they are being detained.

5. [Tianjin] Ms. Yao Zhifeng Harassed

Ms. Yao Zhifeng, 74, of Xiaoyangzhuang Village, Hebeitun Town, was sentenced to four years and three months in prison and fined 17,000 yuan by the Wuqing District Court on October 31, 2024. Because she did not pass physical exam, she was released and put under six months house arrest. Her pension has also been suspended. Daliangxiang Town Police Station officers harassed her at home on February 14, 2025, and took her blood pressure against her will.

6. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhou Dongdong Arrested

Mr. Zhou Dongdong was arrested at home by Yaojia Police Station officers on the morning of February 13, 2025. They wouldn’t let him change out of his pajamas and slippers before taking him away. He is still detained.
