(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Feng Guichun was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan by the Lanshan District Court on May 30, 2024. She was admitted to the 11th division of Shandong Province Women’s Prison on October 17, 2024, after the Linyi City Intermediate Court rejected her appeal.
Mr. Zhang Guozhi was arrested in July 2024. His case has been submitted to the procuratorate.
Ms. Lin Jianping of Qixia City, which is under the administration of Yantai City, was arrested at home by Chengbei Police Station officers in September 2024. Although she was released after she failed the physical exam required for detention, she was arrested again 20 days later and held in custody. Her family has since been kept in the dark regarding her case status.
Ms. Zhang Hao of Liquan County was arrested by Liquan County police on January 23, 2025, after she was reported by some students for raising awareness about Falun Gong.
Mr. Wang Zebin and Ms. Zhao Xing of Xiangfang District were arrested on December 19, 2024. Mr. Wang was formally arrested, and his case was submitted to the Daowai District Procuratorate. Ms. Zhao was released on bail on January 18, 2025.
Ms. Liu Xiufen talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Hanyang District on the afternoon of December 31, 2024. Someone reported her, which resulted in her arrest and ten days detention in the Wuhan First Detention Center.
Mr. Wang Dongzhe of Bin County was arrested at home by Xicheng Police Station officers at around 8 p.m. on January 13, 2025, and his home was ransacked. He was detained for five days in the Bin County Detention Center, and released on January 18.
Ms. Liu Fengyan, of Xige Town, Fengnan District, was arrested by plainclothes officers when she was distributing Falun Gong flyers in the Xiaoji Street Market on the morning of January 16, 2025. She was detained for ten days.
