(Minghui.org) In his most recent article “Critical Times Reveal One’s Spiritual State,” Master said,

“Whoever is trying to disrupt practitioners’ projects from the inside should know this: A myriad of Divine ones are watching. The Old Forces are watching. And so too is the Devil red.”

I’ve been part of a media project for over 10 years. At one point this project was canceled, nearly disappeared, but eventually came back to life. Every step was heart wrenching.

The lease for the printing house which printed newspapers for over 10 years expired, and our project almost ended in August 2024.

In July the newly appointed CEO turned the tide, and by September the project started up again. This media project met with many challenges, and we were worried.

We feel our team hasn’t done well and caused the current issue. We also feel unworthy of Master’s compassionate salvation.

Master said,

“There have always been people who contemplate, “What kind of business can I get into to help support The Epoch Times?” or “What kinds of investments can I take up so as to help The Epoch Times reduce its financial burden?” The thinking behind that isn’t wrong. But what I’m talking about is this: why not put some thought into making things go better for The Epoch Times itself? If you could really make it reach a certain level, wouldn’t you have it all?” (“Fa Teaching Given at the Epoch Times Meeting”, Collected Teachings Given Around the World Volume X)

Because we didn’t listen to Master, we had a big fall.

Nine years ago, the practitioner in charge of this project established another company under the banner of this project. Many of our resources and manpower were devoted to this new company. The staff held several large-scale expos and opened some shops. It was said that the company would be listed in Hong Kong in five years, and would open 100 shops, and that every practitioner in Hong Kong would run them. We also heard that this company was approved and would cover all the expenses incurred by the media.

All the company employees were practitioners and supported it wholeheartedly. Other practitioners bought its health products because they thought they were supporting the media project.

When the media project was launched, many practitioners were involved in it, and we felt our media’s future was promising. However, the practitioner in charge was focused on developing that other company. The newspaper sales kept dropping, and it was announced that the distribution areas would be reduced. The sales representatives did not know that the volume had dropped and kept signing contracts. They had to deal with the clients. Two of the three full time sales representatives were forced to leave the media project.

I felt sad that the media project that we had worked on for nearly 20 years almost came to an end. Our compassionate Master saved this project and provided an opportunity for us to cultivate ourselves and save sentient beings. How can we thank Master and walk the remaining cultivation path well?

Master said,

“In circumstances like these, what everyone should be doing is coming together with a shared sense of purpose, making Dafa the priority, exercising the self-restraint befitting a practitioner, ensuring that harm doesn’t befall your initiatives to save lives, and working together, shoulder-to-shoulder, to get through ordeals. That is how someone leading a life of spiritual discipline should go about things.” (“Critical Times Reveal One’s Spiritual State”)

I really hope the practitioners in the media project will “make Dafa the priority,” form one body, and focus on developing the project that saves sentient beings. Please don’t be attached to that company that endangers the media project. If we lose the project that saves sentient beings, we’ll lose this hard-won opportunity. We won’t be worthy of Master’s compassion and other practitioner’s support, and we will let down the sentient beings in Hong Kong who are waiting for us to save them.

Master said,

“The most difficult things for people to abandon are their notions. Some people cannot change, even if they have to give up their lives for fake principles. Yet notions are themselves acquired postnatally. People always believe that these unshakable ideas—ideas that can make them pay any price without a second thought—are their own thoughts. Even when they see the truth they reject it. In fact, other than a person’s innate purity and innocence, all notions are acquired postnatally and are not a person’s actual self.” (“For Whom do You Exist?”, Essentials for Further Advancement)

I feel the practitioners working on this media project should read Master’s recent lecture and examine themselves. I hope that we all study the Fa well and cultivate ourselves.

Master told us that, “those who can undermine our Fa are none other than our own disciples”. No one can touch those practitioners who have the Fa in their hearts, cultivate themselves and improve themselves, regard the Fa as teacher, and complete their missions. Master said, “Just by staying unaffected you will be able to handle all situations.” (Teachings at the Midwestern U.S. Conference)

Everyone’s behavior determines their outcome. Practitioners know that we should be guided by Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We should ask ourselves if we’ve fulfilled our prehistoric vows, and where we've spent time and energy in this lifetime.
