(Minghui.org) About 6,000 practitioners attended the Taiwan Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference at the Taipei Heping Gymnasium on October 19, 2025. These practitioners came from all walks of life, and many were parents who had brought their children and spouses into cultivation practice.
After the Fa conference, several families shared how they were inspired by fellow practitioners’ cultivation experience sharing papers and expressed wishes to be more diligent in cultivation.
Retired elementary school principal Chen Ying-cong with his wife Li Chao-hsing and son Chen Kuan-chun.
Retired elementary school principal Chen Ying-cong from Yunlin in Taiwan attended the conference with his wife Li Chao-hsing and son Chen Kuan-chun.
Chen Ying-cong has practiced Falun Dafa for more than 20 years. He said that it was very touching to witness practitioners sharing about how they have improved themselves in their respective fields of employment.
He was especially inspired by how fellow practitioners have used various Falun Dafa truth-clarification resources to educate students, such as promoting Gan Jing World and Shen Yun Creations, and encouraging students to read newspapers. He said that these channels give children the opportunity to understand true traditional values and righteous values, and the contributions of these projects to society are extremely important.
Chen Ying-cong said that he quit smoking after he started practicing. His temper improved, and his family noticed the huge changes in him physically and mentally, and began to practice Falun Dafa as well. Chen Ying-cong believes that Falun Dafa is suitable for everyone, and that everyone can benefit from the practice regardless of their age, social class, or occupation.
Before he retired, Chen Ying-cong put Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance into practice in his work. He respected every teacher’s teaching style, viewed their beliefs positively, and interacted with each of them in a kind manner. The teachers he worked with were willing to put in extra effort for their students.
Chen Ying-cong later promoted the practice’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to the broader community, sharing these concepts with community leaders and village chiefs. They cooperated with each other for many years, forming a virtuous cycle.
His wife, Li Chao-hsing, is a retired primary school teacher. She said she was deeply moved by each practitioner’s experience sharing paper. “Each speech had a shining point, allowing me to identify gaps in my cultivation,” she said.
She was especially touched by an 85-year-old practitioner from Miaoli who shared how he had shed decades of male chauvinism and was now able to stand in his wife’s shoes, show consideration for her, and take the initiative to do household chores.
Li Chao-hsing recalled that before she started practicing, she had been watching her husband study the Fa, practice the exercises, and work every day, leading a busy and fulfilling life. She had felt curious and picked up Zhuan Falun to read it. After reading it once, she was deeply impressed by the profound and extensive content of Dafa.
Their son, Chen Kuan-chun, who works in the media, was impressed by the sharing of a teacher practitioner who had been sworn at by a parent for more than an hour, but had remained calm and resolved the matter properly in the end.
“Looking inward is a magical tool,” Chen Kuan-chun said. “When I encounter problems in my daily life, my immediate reaction is to think that I am not wrong, but in fact, I have already pushed the responsibility outward. I was very inspired by the teacher practitioner’s experience.”
The Chen family all agreed that it’s a blessing for their whole family to be able to practice Dafa together. They care for each other, and they are more united as a family.
Hsu Shu-ching, an accountant from Taichung, attended the Fa conference with her husband and two children.
“I work on weekdays, and after finishing my housework, I make every possible effort to make phone calls to clarify the truth. I never have enough time each day. But practitioners’ speeches inspired me to do better,” Hsu said.
She said that practicing Falun Dafa has been very helpful while raising children and has also helped her resolve conflicts in her workplace.
“My two children have been practicing with us since they were young. They hold themselves to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and are not easily influenced by the bad behavior of their peers,” she said. “The two children did not have a rebellious period as they grew up, and our parent-child relationship has been very good.”
Her husband, Chuang Chih-chieh, who works in the manufacturing industry, said that the practitioners’ cultivation experiences at the conference were very helpful.
“I have received reminders and tips from fellow practitioners’ speeches about the difficulties I’ve encountered in my cultivation,” he said. “I see how others have gone through similar experiences and reflected on myself.”
Hung Ya-wen, who works in the media industry and is from Hsinchu, attended the Fa conference with her husband. She grew up in a family that practices Falun Dafa, and this had a positive influence on her and allowed her to see the beauty of cultivation from her family members.
She was deeply moved by several speeches that allowed her to see her own shortcomings and identify her gaps. “When faced with unexpected challenges or tests, I tend to push them away rather than immediately looking inward,” she said. “I’ve identified the gaps and realized my cultivation isn’t solid enough.”
She added that she uses the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to judge things when she encounters problems, which allows her to see the crux of the problem and resolve it. “I am not troubled by these things and live a very comfortable life,” she said.
Her husband, Mr. Li, an engineer in the technology industry, was attending a Fa conference for the first time and was amazed by the large turnout. He commented that fellow practitioners’ experiences of improving their xinxing had been very helpful.
“Improving xinxing is the most difficult part,” he said. He recalled that he was late to the conference in the morning because he couldn’t find a parking space. “The process tested my xinxing. Life is a continuous process of cultivation,” he said.
