(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested
2. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lu Yeli and Ms. Liu Xingkun Arrested
3. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Caihua and Another Female Practitioner Arrested
4. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Mr. Huang Wenhai Arrested and Detained
5. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Ying Harassed
6. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ding Zhongsheng and Su Wenqing Harassed
7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Shuping and Mr. Zhang Shoujun Arrested 
8. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Hongliang Arrested and Detained

1. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested

Nine practitioners were arrested during a group arrest in Macheng City on December 19, 2024. They are Xiao Jingtang, Liu Wenzhen, Zhang Fengyu, Yuan Xiuxia, Liang Xiaozhu, Zhang Jinfang, Tian Yinhua, Jiang Zhengxiang, and Liang Fengmei. 

Liang Fengmei was released in the evening. Zhang Jinfang was released a few days later due to a health condition. Xiao and Liang Xiaozu were taken to the Huanggang City Detention Center. Several other practitioners were taken to the Hong’an Detention Center.

2. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lu Yeli and Ms. Liu Xingkun Arrested

Ms. Lu Yeli, 69, and Ms. Liu Xingkun, 85, were arrested by officers from the Longjiang Police Station when they were talking to people about Falun Gong on December 26, 2024. Ms. Liu was released due to her age. Ms. Lu was given 15 days at the Jinzhou City Lockup.

3. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Caihua and Another Female Practitioner Arrested 

Ms. Li Caihua and another female practitioner were arrested in Daye City on December 25, 2024. They were placed under a 15-day detention.

4. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Mr. Huang Wenhai Arrested and Detained

Mr. Huang Wenhai was reported to police for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong near Wanda Shopping Center and was arrested by officers from the Qima Road Police Station in Tiedong District on the afternoon of December 25, 2024. His home was ransacked. The police confiscated his computer, printer, informational materials, and Falun Gong books. He is currently detained in the Changchun City Lockup.

5. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Ying Harassed

Several people from the Nanjin Road Police Station and local residential committee office went to Ms. Chen Ying’s home in the Nan Residential Committee on October 3, 2024. They tried to take photos but Ms. Chen stopped them.

6. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ding Zhongsheng and Su Wenqing Harassed

Three officers from the Linyuan Fourth Center Police Station in Datong District went to Mr. Ding Zhongsheng’s home in early December 2024. They searched his home and confiscated a desktop calendar with information about Falun Gong. They questioned Mr. Ding about where he got the calendar and tried to get information about other practitioners. The officers came again three days later and took Mr. Ding to the police station for interrogation. He didn’t cooperate with their interrogation and was let go later.

More than ten officers from the Linyuan Fourth Center Police Station went to Su Wenqing’s home on the morning of December 20, 2024. They ransacked the home and confiscated all of her Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, a media player, and a desktop calendar.

7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Shuping and Mr. Zhang Shoujun Arrested 

Ms. Zhao Shuping from Fengrun District was arrested by officers from the Gaolipu Police Station on the morning of December 27, 2024, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was transferred to the Fengrun District Lockup the next day.

Mr. Zhang Shoujun from Qiannihe Village in Fengrun District was arrested on the morning of December 28, 2024, also for talking to people about Falun Gong. 

8. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Hongliang Arrested and Detained

Mr. Wang Hongliang from Sangqiao Village of Sang’e Town was arrested outside his home by officers from the Weizhuang Police Station in Shen County on the morning of December 19, 2024. He was placed under a 10-day detention.
