(Minghui.org) I’d like to tell you about some of my recent cultivation experiences.
When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) conducted the so-called “zero-out” campaign, a community staff member repeatedly called me to harass me. When we met, I explained that Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) teaches people to be kind, it does not violate the law and is not a cult. I told her that she should not do anything illegal—instead, she should follow China’s Civil Service Law. She said something slanderous about Falun Dafa. I thought that she didn’t have the final say, and everything is up to Master. Seeing that I didn’t cooperate, she insisted on calling the local police. “Is she mentally ill?” the policeman shouted on the phone.
He was a young man and had the same tone and attitude as he did in the phone call. He asked me if I still practiced Falun Gong. I said that I did not have to answer him; Falun Gong was not illegal; freedom of belief was protected by the Constitution; the General Administration of Press and Publication abolished the document prohibiting the publication of Falun Gong books; and governmental employees are responsible for handling cases.
I told him, “You’re so young. You have a long life ahead of you. You shouldn’t behave this way.” He lowered his voice, his tone was much softer, and he did not look at me.
Before we went to the police station, I reminded myself: I was not worried about myself or what would happen to me—instead I was concerned about what would happen to them if they persecuted me. With the right mindset, the power of kindness, and my sincere consideration for him, his good thoughts surfaced. So when I left, he didn’t chase me. The issue was ended.
I later heard that he received blessings. I knew this happened because he made the right choice and chose a better future. I was really happy and relieved for him.
A group of people from the CCP’s Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the local police, and community office came to my home. Because they saw items related to Dafa, they took my mother away and illegally searched my home. But under Master’s compassionate protection, she returned home that night.
Looking back on this incident, when the CCP agents broke into my home, my righteous thoughts were firm and I had no selfish thoughts. I did not shift the responsibility by blaming my mother for not being careful when she opened the door. I could not give the old forces a loophole to exploit. No matter what they said, I firmly believed that they did not have the final say and that everything was decided by Master. I think that because I thought from the perspective of the Fa and from the basis of being altruistic, Master resolved the tribulation for us.
My mother kept clarifying the truth to the police and warning them not to do anything illegal. Throughout the process, she was careful not to fight, and she kept reminding the police to do good deeds and be considerate. When one of them behaved badly she warned him not to do evil. When we talked after she was released, she explained that she found her hatred for him and disintegrated it.
Practitioners don’t hate those who persecute us. Falun Dafa is compassionate and majestic. He did evil to Dafa and practitioners, so he should be made aware of it by experiencing some retribution. Practitioners don’t seek revenge, but if those who persecute practitioners are punished they may change their attitudes towards Dafa and practitioners, stop committing crimes against Dafa, and have a chance to be saved. Isn’t this being compassionate?
These are some of my insights. If anything is not in line with the Fa, please kindly point it out.
