(Minghui.org) For many years I have followed the history and growth of Shen Yun. After watching the show with my family for the first time in another country, I realized that being able to watch Shen Yun in my own country would be a great blessing. That is why I have helped out at the show since Shen Yun came to perform in my country.

As a Falun Dafa practitioner, I know Shen Yun is much needed in our society. Volunteering for the show is not a problem for me at all, and it is a great joy. From the coordinators to the performers, everyone who works at the show puts a lot of effort into making sure everything runs smoothly.

Recently I read some news articles that attack Shen Yun and Falun Dafa’s founder. I can tell the authors did not spend enough time learning about Shen Yun’s beginnings and the history of Falun Dafa. Many shows in our modern society promote wickedness, promiscuity, and moral decay. In contrast, Shen Yun displays traditional values through its beautiful dance and music, so Shen Yun performances should be promoted rather than criticized.

These articles also highlighted complaints from former performers who were disgruntled. Based on my experience, every company and institution has some employees who are dissatisfied. This is common no matter in a family or at a workplace. News outlets should be objective in their reporting rather than presenting a biased narrative.

When I read that Shen Yun has made a lot of money, I saw it as a good thing, as the company does wonderful work, and its income will allow for the show to be performed in more cities and countries. More people will thus benefit from the opportunity to watch an extraordinary show that delights the eyes, ears, and heart.
