(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] One Practitioner Tried and Two Facing Trial
2. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liang Xiaozhu Arrested and Detained
3. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested
4. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xiuzhi Imprisoned
5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Nie Tianhong and Ms. Wu Arrested and Detained
6. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Persecuted

1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] One Practitioner Tried and Two Facing Trial

Ms. Zhu Chunmei from Xinzhou District was arrested and detained in the Wuhan City First Detention Center for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was tried by the Xinzhou District Court on December 24, 2024.

Ms. Zhu Huimin was scheduled to stand trial in the Hanyang District Court on the morning of January 3, 2025.

Ms. Li Dayun from Wuchang District was scheduled to stand trial at 10:30 a.m. on January 9, 2025.

2. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liang Xiaozhu Arrested and Detained

Ms. Liang Xiaozhu, around 74, was arrested by officers from the Nanhu Police Station on December 19, 2024. She is currently detained in the Huanggang City Detention Center.

3. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Seven practitioners were seized from their homes during a group arrest on December 29-30, 2024. They are Mr. Du Changjiang, Mr. Yang Fujun, Mr. Fan Yunpeng, Mr. Lyu Xianfeng, Dr. Wang (first name unknown), Zhang (gender and first name unknown) and Ms. Dong (first name unknown).

4. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xiuzhi Admitted to Prison

Ms. Wang Xiuzhi from Wei County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, was arrested by officers in nearby Guanglin County, Shanxi Province, for going there to talk to people about Falun Gong. She was sentenced to three years and two months by the Datong Court in Shanxi and was taken to the Yuci Prison in Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, on November 6, 2024.

5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Nie Tianhong and Ms. Wu Arrested and Detained

Ms. Nie Tianhong and Ms. Wu (first name unknown) were arrested in Wusong Island by officers from the Jiangnan Township Police Station on December 4, 2024. Ms. Nie was detained for 13 days and Ms. Wu 15 days.

6. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Persecuted

Mr. Chen Feng and Ms. Xu Jinting were harassed by village officials in Nanweizhuang Village of Shenxing Town, Mancheng District, in mid-December 2024. Ms. Xu was forced to live away from home shortly after to avoid further persecution.

Ms. Wei Guizhi from the same village was arrested in December 2024 and detained for 10 days in the Mancheng District Lockup.
