(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Yibin City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Mengqun Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
2. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Jianqiu Sentenced to One Year and Six Months in Prison
3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zheng Baoying Arrested
4. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Du Changjiang Arrested
5. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Jian Tongkui Placed under Residential Surveillance
6. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Xin Chunting Harassed
7. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Jinxia Harassed
8. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shi Xiuyan and Ms. Xiong Fengyan Arrested
9. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Nan Yingfu Arrested and Detained

10. [Suizhou City, Hubei Province] Mr. Leng Shunchang Admitted to Fanjiatai Prison

1. [Yibin City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Mengqun Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

It’s recently been confirmed by Minghui.org that Ms. Liu Mengqun was sentenced to three years in prison and was admitted to Sichuan Province Women’s Prison several months ago.

2. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Jianqiu Sentenced to One Year and Six Months in Prison

Ms. Zhang Jianqiu from Penglai District was tried for the second time by the Penglai District Court on the morning of December 23, 2024. She was sentenced to one year and six months and fined 5,000 yuan several days later. She has appealed with the intermediate court.

3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zheng Baoying Arrested

Ms. Zheng Baoying from Fengrun District was recently arrested at a market by two young officers from the Wangguanying Police Station.

4. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Du Changjiang Arrested

Mr. Du Changjiang was arrested on the morning of December 29, 2024.

5. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Jian Tongkui Placed Under Residential Surveillance

Mr. Jian Tongkui’s home was ransacked by the police on December 24, 2024. Personal belongings were confiscated. He has been released on bail and placed under residential surveillance.

6. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Xin Chunting Harassed

Ms. Xin Chunting, 73, was harassed by Sun Zhiqian from the Beijiao Police Station. Sun searched her home and took away 300 yuan in cash, two flash drives, and personal letters.

7. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Jinxia Harassed

Ms. Zhou Jinxia received a harassing call from the Wangjiatai Community Office on December 10, 2024, stating that they would come to her home. Those people came to her home on December 12, 2024, and then again on December 27, 2024.

Ms. Zhou’s husband and her daughter, both Falun Gong practitioners, have passed away years ago due to the persecution. 

8. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shi Xiuyan and Ms. Xiong Fengyan Arrested

Ms. Shi Xiuyan was arrested at Chijiatun Village Market in Shaliuhe Town by three plainclothes officers from the Shaliuhe Town Police Station on the morning of December 30, 2024. She was released at noon.

Ms. Xiong Fengyan was arrested at Xiaotun Village Market in Fengrun District by officers from the Gaogezhuang Police Station on the morning of December 29, 2024. She was released around 9 p.m.

9. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Nan Yingfu Arrested and Detained

Ms. Nan Yingfu, 67, was arrested by officers from the Henan Police Station when distributing informational materials about Falun Gong at noon on August 14, 2024. She wasn’t released until December 27, 2024.

10. [Suizhou City, Hubei Province] Mr. Leng Shunchang Admitted to Fanjiatai Prison

Mr. Leng Shunchang was arrested on August 3, 2023 and sentenced to 7.5 years with a 10,000-yuan fine in September 2024. He was taken to Fanjiatai Prison on December 20, 2024.
