(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xiaomei Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Yabin Sentenced to Prison
3. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Deqin Arrested
4. [Meihekou City, Jilin Province] Mr. Gai Yongguang Detained
5. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Wu Jingqing Arrested and Detained
6. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Ruihua Arrested
7. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Men Fengming Arrested and Detained
8. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yumei Arrested
9. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhu Benming and Ms. Gao Ping Detained
10. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Libin Escaped from Custody and Forced to Live Away from Home
11. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Xiuhua Arrested

1. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xiaomei Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. Li Xiaomei from Shagou Town was sentenced to four years in prison and has been admitted to the Shandong Province Women’s Prison.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Yabin Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Wang Yabin went missing in 2023. It was recently confirmed by Minghui.org that she had been sentenced to prison and is now detained in the Eighth Ward at the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison. 

3. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Deqin Arrested

Ms. Jiang Deqin from Dabaimashi Village of Longgang District was arrested by officers from the Tashan Township Police Station, when she was talking to people about Falun Gong in the Laoguanbao area on August 23, 2024.

4. [Meihekou City, Jilin Province] Mr. Gai Yongguang Detained

Mr. Gai Yongguang, his wife Ms. Wang Xiujuan, their son and daughter-in-law were arrested. With the exception of Mr. Gai, the other three have been released. Mr. Gai is currently detained in the Meihekou City Detention Center. He is on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

5. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Wu Jingqing Arrested and Detained

Ms. Wu Jingqing was arrested at home by Wang Liying from the Anqing Road Police Station and other officers on the morning of August 8, 2024. She was placed under administrative detention.

6. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Ruihua Arrested

Ms. Li Ruihua, around 70, was arrested on August 20, 2024, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. Officers from the Chengguan Police Station ransacked her home the next day.

7. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Men Fengming Arrested and Detained

Mr. Men Fengming from Fenglanzhuang Village of Qigezhuang Town, Dachang County was arrested and detained for 15 days. He was released on August 22, 2024.

8. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yumei Arrested

Ms. Wang Yumei was arrested in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province. She has been released at the time of writing.

9. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhu Benming and Ms. Gao Ping Detained

Ms. Zhu Benming and Ms. Gao Ping were detained in the Changsong Brainwashing Center in Bofan Town for about 40 days. There were released in late August 2024.

10. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Libin Escaped from Custody and Forced to Live Away from Home

Ms. Jiang Libin was arrested at home on July 12, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She managed to escape from custody and has been forced to live away from home since.

11. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Xiuhua Arrested

Ms. Ma Xiuhua from Laiyuan County, was found to have a flash drive when she and her children were changing trains at the Tianjin City Railway Station on August 4, 2024. She was arrested and first taken to the Quanfang Town Police Station and later transferred to the Laiyuan Police Department for interrogation. She was released the next afternoon.
