(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 4 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Xu Facing Trial
2. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Baoqun Arrested
3. [Ningde City, Fujian Province] Practitioner Chen Kanghua Arrested and Detained
4. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Gao Jifei’s Passport Confiscated 

1. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Xu Facing Trial

Ms. Li Xu from Bayuquan District was arrested and taken to the Yingkou City Detention Center on March 29, 2024. She was scheduled to appear in the Zhanqian District Court at 9 a.m. on August 27, 2024. Details about the hearing weren’t available at the time of writing.

2. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Baoqun Arrested

Ms. Liu Baoqun from Yanshan County, Hebei Province was staying at her daughter’s home in Tianjin to take care of her grandchild. The police followed her there and arrested her on August 15, 2024.

3. [Ningde City, Fujian Province] Practitioner Chen Kanghua Arrested and Detained

Chen Kanghua was recently arrested in Fuzhou City and is currently detained in the Ningde City Detention Center.

4. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Gao Jifei’s Passport Confiscated 

Mr. Gao Jifei from Xiaoshan District applied for his passport at the Guali Police Station on June 26, 2024, and was told that it would be ready in seven days. The next day, Shao Feilyu, deputy director of the Xiaoshan District Domestic Security Division, and several other officers summoned Mr. Gao and told him that his passport application would be suspended because he refused to give up practicing Falun Gong. Mr. Gao filed a complaint with the mayor’s hotline. The police harassed him two more times and admitted that his passport had been issued but was being held by them.
