Germany: Public in Mannheim Condemns Persecution of Falun Dafa “Communism is a Plague on Humanity”

Aug. 9, 2024 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Germany

(Minghui.org) Practitioners in the Rhine-Neckar region of Germany held an event on August 3, 2024, in Marktplatz, Mannheim’s historic town square. They demonstrated the exercises and told people about Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. They also explained the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and collected signatures on a petition to call for an end to the 25-year persecution.

Practitioners held a truth-clarification event in Marktplatz.

Practitioners’ serene and graceful exercise, along with banners and displays that described the persecution, attracted the attention of passersby. Many were deeply concerned after talking to practitioners, and signed petitions to show their support, hoping to help end it.

Passersby stopped to learn about Falun Dafa and the persecution.

Many people signed the petition to help end the persecution.

Calling on Everyone to Speak Out for Falun Dafa

Ms. Karina Acrita signed the petition and hopes more people will stand up for Falun Dafa.

Ms. Karina Acrita, who said she was from the former Yugoslavia, spoke with practitioners for a long time. She said, “The persecution Falun Dafa suffers in China is unacceptable. Who can stand by and watch their brothers and sisters being abused? Why can’t we protect each other?”

She urged everyone to bravely stand up, expose the persecution, and help end it. “I urge everyone to speak out and let everyone see what unjust things are happening.” She said she supported practitioners’ efforts and signed the petition.

Regarding Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, Karina said, “Compassion—Jesus also spoke about loving one another, stepping into the other person’s shoes, letting go of oneself, and thinking of others first. Forbearance—I believe none of us are perfect, and everyone makes mistakes. What’s important is learning to understand and forgive others’ faults as much as possible.”

Passersby Show Support

Akylbek from Nepal (left) and Stansted signed to support practitioners’ efforts to end the persecution.

Horticulturist Ben-Eric Wattenberg signed the petition and said, “Organ harvesting from living people is a crime and also a form of torture. These people die in unbearable pain.”

He continued, “The CCP, like a fascist regime, arrests groups whose beliefs don’t align with its requirements. This is terrifying enough. But harvesting organs for greed and perverted interests is criminal behavior. Doctors who collude with the CCP are not doctors but murderers.”

Ben-Eric Wattenberg added, “I think we should do something to stop this (organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners). I know there are relevant legal provisions in the German Federal Parliament. If the number of signatures exceeds 50,000, it meets the threshold for filing, and the Parliament will consider it.”

He said he sincerely hopes practitioners’ efforts to end the persecution succeed.

Holding a truth-clarification flyer, Abbas approached the booth and signed the petition. She said, “When I first received the flyer, I didn’t stop because I wanted to understand what this was about. So, I read it as I walked.” She opened the flyer and told practitioners, “Just looking at these headlines was enough for me to make my decision. It was instinctive.

“I hope the petition will help to stop these terrible and inhumane actions as soon as possible.”

A German gentleman living near Mannheim said, “Communism is a plague on humanity, and it’s the same in Germany. It’s hard to believe that the Berlin Wall fell only thirty years ago and now Communism is spreading again. It’s foolish, yet many people haven’t noticed.”

“This [organ harvesting from Falun Dafa practitioners] is awful. China is a large country with a huge population, so the disappearance of some people might go unnoticed. People are arrested, and their kidneys [or other organs] are removed. Very few countries would do such a thing; it’s inhumane.”
