(Minghui.org) Numerous street markets are held in New York City every summer, and on July 28, 2024, practitioners once again participated in the Astoria Street Market in Queens to introduce Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong). Some people signed a petition in support of the Falun Gong Protection Act that was recently passed by the U.S. House of Representatives, and some were very interested in learning the Falun Dafa exercises and signed up for the next free nine-day class.

As passersby learned about Falun Dafa, some signed up for the nine-day Falun Dafa class, and others signed the petition in support of the Falun Gong Protection Act that was recently passed by the U.S. House of Representatives.

Astoria, a middle-class residential area, is in northwest Queens and has many restaurants and bars that are popular with young people. Many locals and tourists frequent these street markets that are held throughout the summer with their families and friends.

People Are Interested in Falun Dafa

Ms. Balkis signed up for a free nine-day Falun Dafa class.

Ms. Balkis said, “In today’s tense and stressful society, this kind of practice can help me relax and relieve stress.” She said she would share the information with her friends and family.

She returned with her mother, who also signed the petition in support of the Falun Gong Protection Act and also signed up for the nine-day Falun Dafa class.

The CCP Has Done Many Bad Things

Chris photographed the covers of the books Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and Ironclad Irrefutable Evidence and said he would share the information with his friends.

Chris told practitioners that he had some understanding of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), “I am interested in the truth. I know the CCP has done a lot of bad things.”

A practitioner recommended several books, including the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, Ironclad Irrefutable Evidence, and The Specter of Communism Is Ruling Our World. He photographed the covers and said he would recommend them to a business partner.

Another exhibitor signed a petition and said, “We support you!”

People said they were pleased to see practitioners at the event, saying, “Will you come to the next market?” “I hope to see you often,” and, “I hope to see you again next year. Thank you!”
