(Minghui.org) Practitioners were invited to participate in the 86^th Fair Days Parade in Monroe, Washington, on August 24, 2024. This is the third year they participated in this annual parade which is part of the Evergreen State Fair. Their beautiful float and waist drum dances brought the message of Falun Dafa to local residents.

Despite the light drizzle, more than 10,000 spectators lined the parade route as practitioners demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises on their float and performed waist drum dances to uplifting music. Many people said they enjoyed the practitioners’ performances and greeted them with applause and cheers. They seemed happy to receive the introductory flyers about Falun Dafa practitioners distributed along the parade route.

Cori, a local resident, smiled and waved at practitioners. She said she loved their waist drum dance and the upbeat music.

Jose, from the nearby town of Everett, said that practitioners’ costumes were elegant and their waist-drum performance was wonderful. This was the first time he saw a waist drum dance, and he said he enjoyed the rhythm. He was interested in Falun Dafa and planned to find out more about how to improve his health and spirit through self-cultivation.

Local residents Amber and Shannon applauded when they saw the Falun Dafa procession. They said they were happy to see Falun Dafa practitioners in the parade and they appreciated the value and culture they brought. Amber and Shannon were surprised when they learned the Chinese Communist Party persecutes such a peaceful cultivation group. They said they hope the persecution ends soon.
