(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

2. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Tian Haiying and Ms. Meng Zhengfeng Arrested

4. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Ms. Lu Cuirong Arrested
5. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Ms. Meng Zangxing and Ms. Gao Shuai Detained
6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Wang Jian Repeatedly Harassed
7. [Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Gui Caihua Detained
8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Jing Detained

1. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Yang Xuegui Faces Trail

Mr. Yang Xuegui's trial is scheduled to appear in the Chengguan District Court at 10 a.m. on August 23, 2024.

2. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Tian Haiying and Ms. Meng Zhengfeng Arrested

Ms. Tian Haiying, in her 50s, and Ms. Meng Zhengfeng, in her 60s, both of Chaisang District, were arrested by officers of the Shahe Street Police Station on August 20, 2024.

3. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Li Baofu Arrested

Li Baofu of Shen County, gender unknown, was arrested by Weizhuang Police Station officers in early August 2024.

4. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Ms. Lu Cuirong Arrested

Ms. Lu Cuirong was arrested by Gangqu Police Station officers on the morning of August 21, 2024, for distributing Falun Gong flyers. She was taken to the police station. Her Falun Gong books were confiscated.

5. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Ms. Meng Zangxing and Ms. Gao Shuai Detained

Ms. Meng Zangxing and her daughter, Ms. Gao Shuai, were arrested by director Chen Kuo and several plainclothes officers from Xinji City Development Zone Police Station on the morning of August 17, 2024. 

Ms. Gao’s computer and media player were confiscated. She was fined 600 yuan and given 11 days of administrative detention.

Ms. Meng was detained for a day and released the next afternoon. She was also fined 600 yuan by the police. 

6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Wang Jian Repeatedly Harassed

Wang Jian of Bin County, gender unknown, was harassed on July 10, 2024, by Bin County Political and Legal Affairs Committee agents, Fujin City’s Dayushu Town Political and Legal Affairs Committee agents, and Fujin City’s Dayushu Town Police Station officers. They recorded a video and forced Wang to renounce Falun Gong.

On July 11, officer Liu Fu from Dayushu Town Police Station ordered Wang to report to the police station. Wang did not go. Liu and other officers from Dayushu Town Police Station, as well as clerk Jiang Yuanyuan from Fujin City’s Fanrong Community, went to Wang’s parents’ home, took pictures of Wang and collected Wang’s fingerprints.

On May 29, 2024, the Yilan Court withdrew 11,346.73 yuan from Wang’s bank account with the Postal Savings Bank.

7. [Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Gui Caihua Detained

Ms. Gui Caihua, nearly 80, was arrested at home in June 2024 after she was recorded by surveillance cameras of distributing Falun Gong flyers. Her home was ransacked. She was released after being forced to sign a police interrogation. She was soon re-arrested and admitted to the Yingtan City Detention Center on June 21, 2024.

8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Jing Detained

Ms. Chen Jing was arrested at home by Gusaoshu Police Station officers on June 20, 2024. She was held in the Wuhan City Detention Center for 10 days and then taken to a brainwashing center by her residential community clerks.
