(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 27 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Qiao Chuanjie Arrested

Mr. Qiao Chuanjie was arrested on July 18, 2024 for talking to people about Falun Gong in Qiaokou District. His whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Manxia Arrested

Ms. Liu Manxia from Yuelu District was arrested at home by four plainclothes officers on the morning of July 21, 2024.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Yajie Arrested

Mr. Liu Yajie was arrested by officers from the Chengxi Police Station on the afternoon of July 17, 2024.

4. [Suifenhe City, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Arrested and Detained

Five practitioners from Suifenhe City were arrested by officers from the Suifenhe City Domestic Security Office on January 18, 2024, including Mr. Shen Yuguo, Mr. Zhang Zhong, Mr. Li Peng, Mr. Jiang Xuejun, and Mr. Wang Lei.

Mr. Shen and Mr. Zhang were detained in the Dongning City Detention Center, and Mr. Jiang and Mr. Li were detained in the Suifenhe City Detention Center. All four were transferred to the Hailin City Detention Center on July 19, 2024.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] 17 Practitioners Arrested

Seventeen practitioners from Zhifu District were seized during a group arrest on May 9-10, 2024. Eleven of them have been released on bail, including Han (first name unknown), Lyu Huichan, Yi Yingsheng, Wang Li, Wang Dianhua, Sun Xiucheng, Zhang Jian, Wang Zenggang, Zhao Lizhuan, Bai Mei, and Jingjing (last name unknown). Three practitioners, including Yang Xingrong, Liu Wenping, and Li Zhenna, are currently being detained in the Yantai City Detention Center. Liu and Li’s arrests have been approved. Three other practitioners’ situations aren’t clear.

6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Deping Arrested

Mr. Wang Deping was arrested at home in Nuanquan Village, Wujia Sub-district, Shuangcheng District on the morning of July 14, 2024.

7. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Kuang Zhengxiang Harassed

Ms. Kuang Zhengxiang was harassed at home on July 2, 2024 by two officers including Zhou Ya, the chief of the Changjiang Police Station in Hengshan County, and some staffers from the Shiqiao Community Office. Her Falun Gong books and other materials were confiscated.

8. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Four practitioners were arrested while visiting Liu Aiguo on July 4, 2024. The arrests were made by several officers, including Zhou Bin, chief of the Baiguo Police Station in Hengshan County. Liu and her four guests, including Mr. Chen Youkun, Ms. Wang Xinguo, Ms. Li Aili, and Li Qun’an, were taken to the police station and pressured to sign guarantee statements, which they refused. Liu was detained for five days in the Hengshan County Lockup facility. The other four practitioners were released on the same day.

9. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Jiayu Arrested and Detained

Ms. Jiang Jiayu from Xiaogan Town of Jingyang District was arrested by Officer Xiao Dawei from the Xiaogan Police Station on April 30, 2024. She was detained for eleven days, from May 12 to 23, 2024.
