(Minghui.org) The Fremont Indian community in the San Francisco Bay Area held the Festival of Globe India Day Parade on Sunday, August 18, 2024,. Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) practitioners were invited to participate and were warmly received by the organizers and the public.

Dr. Romesh K. Japra, the founder and organizer of the India Independence Day Parade, said, “This event started in 1993 and has a history of over 30 years.”

He said, “The people who participate in this parade have come from throughout the world, and they are all parts of our community, so we welcome everyone. China is a communist country, and I hope there will be changes in China.”

Organizer: A Sincere Thank You to Falun Dafa

As the Falun Gong group passed by the main stage, Bhatta Charya, one of the parade organizers, invited the practitioners to demonstrate their exercises. She told the audience, “Now we have the Falun Dafa group. They offer free exercise classes here in Fremont. We are very grateful to them for teaching these classes at no cost.”

Bhatta Charya said, “Thank you for bringing Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to us. We know you very well. Let’s see what else you’ve brought us today.

“I can hear the music. This must be exciting. Now we have the Falun Gong Waist Drum Team. Their drumming is wonderful, and hearing it is truly uplifting. The waist drum dance has a history of thousands of years. We are like a family, everyone coming together to share their traditional cultures.”

Arvind Kacahi says that Falun Dafa is the best group originating from China

Indian-American Arvind Kacahi was thrilled to see the Falun Gong group. He walked up to the front of the procession, pointed at the Falun Dafa banner, and said, “This group is fantastic! Falun Dafa is the best group in our parade. They originated from China. I’ve been following them for a while. Falun Gong practitioners are very sincere, compassionate, and patient. I’m very grateful that they are participating in the India Day Parade.”

Computer engineer Visha Chvan says that Falun Gong is a good practice.

Visha Chvan, a computer engineer who practices yoga, said he was familiar with Falun Gong. “I know that doing this exercise can help you stay clear-minded.

“This is a good practice, and we need kindness. Why does the Chinese Communist Party [CCP] persecute it?” He believes that the CCP’s control over people’s thoughts is one of the worst things in the world.

Computer Engineer: I Support Falun Gong

Indian-American computer engineer Amit was passing by when he saw Falun Gong practitioners demonstrating their exercises. He said, “This is wonderful, so beautiful, and truly impressive. I like this practice. It’s a great cause, and I support Falun Gong.”

“Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is a beautiful value,” he added. “Everyone has the right to their belief.”

Company Manager: The World Truly Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance

Jagaveesh, a semiconductor company manager, brought his children to see the parade. Before it started, he saw the Falun Gong Waist Drum Team rehearsing and remarked, “Their dance is very beautiful. I completely agree with these principles—Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance—that Falun Gong practitioner upholds. In today’s world, we need them.”

He also mentioned that with everything that is happening worldwide, including wars, “Our world greatly needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”

Spectator: Falun Dafa Is Now Known Worldwide

Indian-American Krisav also greatly enjoyed the Falun Gong group’s performance. He said, “This group is amazing. Seeing them perform here is wonderful. Falun Dafa is now known worldwide—you can see Falun Dafa everywhere. Here, people can see Falun Dafa, and we are very happy to see them.”

Indian-American Krisav says that now is the time for more people to find out about Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

He added, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great. Now is the time for more people to learn about this cultivation. Everyone should know about it.”

Laxmi and her husband Nikhil were particularly fond of the Falun Gong Waist Drum Team. Laxmi said, “The Falun Gong group is very beautiful. The waist drum team is perfectly coordinated, and everyone looks wonderful. We were totally captivated by the drumbeats, especially the peaceful sound they produced. It felt as if I were listening to my favorite music. I could listen to their drumming all day.”
