Romania: People Praise Falun Dafa During Events in Six Cities

Aug. 22, 2024 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Romania

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners organized outreach events in six cities from August 8 to 11, 2024. The cities were Eforie Nord, Eforie Sud, Brasov, Mangalia, Constanța, and Mamaia. They displayed information about the practice, demonstrated the exercises, answered people’s questions, and collected signatures to stop the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.

People expressed their solidarity with practitioners and recognized the importance of the common shared values that they hold.

A father joined the group with his children to learn the exercises in Eforie Sud on August 9, 2024.

Practitioners held an information day in Constanța on August 11, 2024.

People Support Falun Dafa and Condemn the CCP’s Persecution

The Romanian public voiced their support for practitioners in various ways. Some said that justice will be restored for practitioners, and that people who persecute others will face consequences for their actions. Others said that people should be alert to the infiltration of the CCP all over the world so that future generations are not seriously affected by communist values.

Carol and Luiza called their friends to sign the petition during the event in Constanța on August 11, 2024.

Two high school students, Carol and Luiza, from Turnu Severin signed the petition as soon as they read the leaflet that practitioners were handing out. Upon learning that the petition demands an end to the CCP’s forced harvesting of organs from Falun Dafa practitioners, Carol exclaimed, “Oh, they are killing [practitioners] for organs! This is terrible!”

“Let’s get the rest of them to sign as well,” exclaimed Luiza. She called their four friends to come and sign the petition. The young people were all horrified by the crimes carried out by the communist party, and said they sympathized with Falun Dafa practitioners in China.

Carol said, “That’s what communism did to us: it killed the best and terrorized the rest so badly that some people still say communism was good! It wasn’t good at all!” The high school students said they were happy to be able to help a just cause.

“China with its great civilization has fallen because of communism”

Mr. Arnica signed the petition in Constanța on August 11, 2024.

After reading the banners and leaflets, Mr. Arnica from Hunedoara signed the petition. He was outraged that practitioners of such a beneficial discipline are being killed just because they want to be better people and help society.

“This practice is so good. It’s very important to control your body, to abstain. It’s very hard in today’s world. Society is going down instead of going up,” he said.

He also believed that such an atrocity had no place in the modern world. “It’s a disaster. It should not exist in the 21st century. It is not allowed,” he said. “China with its great civilization has fallen because of communism. 500 years ago, the [Spanish] Inquisition burned at the stake those who had independent thought. Communism does the same. In China communism is as terrible as the Inquisition.”

“I would like to urge practitioners in China to continue,” Mr. Arnica added.

“You are not here to beg, you are here to help.”

Mr. Petre talked to practitioners during the event at Eforie Nord on August 8, 2024, and said attention should be paid to how the Chinese communist state is infiltrating countries worldwide.

Mr. Petre, who lives near Ploiești, was deeply affected after hearing about the persecution in China. He was visibly moved and began tearing up.

He said that he admired the practitioners’ efforts and bravery in the face of an authoritarian regime. “You are not here to beg, you are here to help, and it is rarer to find people who will do what you do voluntarily. You take time out of your lives to spend it standing here letting people know what practitioners are doing there, and that’s not something that doesn’t matter,” he said. “I know it (the communist state) is very dangerous, they’ve infiltrated everywhere in this world. People should be careful.”

He also chastised the persecutors for harvesting Falun Dafa practitioners’ organs. “Don’t [the persecutors] think that maybe they have children, grandchildren, what will happen to them? I have kids, they’re doctors. But to forcibly harvest other people’s organs—it’s inhumane. We’re human, we’re on earth to be kind,” he said.

During the event in Constanța on August 11, a practitioner gave a leaflet to a gentleman, who walked away while reading it. He later returned to the practitioners’ stand and said, “This is a divine message: Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. If you don’t value the people in front of you, how can God value you!? Have a blessed and bright day!”

During the event in Mioveni in Eforie Nord on August 8, students said the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance should be promoted among young people.

A 43-year-old mother received a pamphlet and a lotus flower for her 5-year-old daughter, and a practitioner told them about Falun Dafa and the universal moral principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance that practitioners cherish and live by in their daily lives.

During the event in Mamaia on August 11, 2024, a mother said, “Moral principles are the best thing on earth and in this life.”

The little girl excitedly said that she wants to take this flower to her kindergarten teacher to tell the other children about these good values.

The mother said, “Moral principles are the best thing on earth and in this life, because by doing good it will remain for the next life, because with what we do good here on earth we will go beyond.”

Elena and her friend, who are in their 80s, were saddened to learn about what is happening to Falun Dafa practitioners in China and spoke about the cruelty of humans towards other people everywhere in the world, towards anyone who is unjustly killed, and especially towards those who believe in moral values.

“People have the right to be free and not to be afraid to manifest their belief in the good and in the moral values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance,” Elena said.

Retired teacher: “We stand by and support the practitioners in China.”

Maria Dagutu, 75, a retired teacher, said that Falun Dafa’s principles are universal values that are also found in Christianity.

“The principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance should accompany everyone because they are also the principles of Christianity, and we are Christians, whether we are Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant or other denominations.”

During the event in Constanța on August 11, 2024, Maria Daguțu said, “The principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance should accompany everyone.”

Maria said that justice should prevail and those that affect the community should be the ones criminalized, not those who practice philosophies.

“Persecution in China is something you can’t describe, especially since they are not breaking the law, such as stealing, murdering, raping—these are the things that should be stopped.”

Maria said, “I have seen demonstrations in support of practitioners who are being persecuted in China. We stand with the practitioners in China and support them.”

Inspector Encourages Practitioners in China

Marin Mihai Ștefan, a 22-year-old inspector, signed the petition. After learning about Falun Dafa at the event he said, “This practice [Falun Dafa] is a good and helpful thing. But one has to destroy the evil so that it does not rise up against the good.
”

Marin Mihai Ștefan signed the petition at Constanța on August 11, 2024.

Ștefan wants to tell practitioners in China to “keep going, have faith.” “The important thing is always to do what is right, what benefits yourself and others,” he said.

Bianca and Ciprian from Zalău, together with their children, praised Falun Dafa’s principles. “The principles are very good. If they were respected we would live in a good world,” said Ciprian. He knew about the persecution from the press and asked for more information. Ciprian tells practitioners, both in China and abroad, to “Continue to resist [this persecution] and defend their faith.” He wished the practitioners success in everything they do.

Bianca and Ciprian sign the petition during the event in Mangalia on August 10, 2024.

Meriam and Bianca stopped by the booth in Mangalia on August 10, 2024 and said that practitioners should have freedom to practice their belief.

“Everyone should have the right to their opinion, to do what they want. Let them believe in what they want. They should not be killed for it,” Meriam said. “To me it seems normal that everyone should be respected, all people should be respected for what they do and not be persecuted.”

Alan and George signed a petition to end the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China during the event in Brasov on August 10, 2024.

Alan and George, two college students, signed the practitioners’ petition. Alan said it was shocking that such a crime could be hidden from the Chinese people.“Communism secretly does terrible things against people in such a big country. It doesn’t seem fair to the people. Think about how many people are going through this. I hope that people will stop depending on [forced organ harvesting] in their country and that the problem will be solved,” he said.

George also pointed out how the persecution reflects brutality that he believes is from a bygone era. “If we don’t know history we are forced to repeat it. On the surface things seem to change, they have a modern appearance, but the mentality remains the same. It seems to me it’s not fair to individuals or to anyone,” he said.
