(Minghui.org) Nearly 20 years ago the Epoch Times published the editorial series Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party on November 19, 2004. The Nine Commentaries exposes the crimes the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) committed against the Chinese people and allows them to see the Party’s true nature.

For the past 20 years many people in China risked the CCP’s persecution and spread the Nine Commentaries. Chinese people outside of China also sent copies of the Nine Commentaries to people in China, hoping to tell people the true situation. As people saw the CCP’s true colors, more than 430 million Chinese around the world have announced that they quit the Party and its affiliated organizations. They want to severe their ties with the CCP and no longer wish to be part of the entity that persecutes its own people.

The following are a few stories of how some Chinese people saw through the propaganda and decided to quit their membership.

From Being Numb to Optimistic about Quitting the CCP

A practitioner met a 60-year-old man outside the Chinese Consulate-General in Toronto and asked if he was interested in learning more about Falun Dafa. The man declined. The practitioner walked with him as he headed towards a subway station and said, “Falun Dafa isn’t what the CCP’s propaganda says it is. People in over 100 countries and areas practice Falun Dafa. Former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, out of jealousy, tried to eradicate the practice because of its popularity. The CCP staged the Tiananmen self-immolation in 2001 to defame the practice and justify the persecution.

The man told the practitioner, “Why are you doing this? It’s meaningless.”

The practitioner explained, “Sir, this is something important to all of us. We all joined the CCP organizations when we were in China. When we took the oath we swore to fight for communism all our lives and devote our lives to it. This is very bad and we need to negate the oath.”

The man said, “I joined the Young Pioneers but I’m no longer a member.”

“You can forget your vows but heaven doesn’t,” the practitioner said. The man nodded, and the practitioner continued, “The divine protects people who want to be good and kind. I can help you quit the Young Pioneers today if you wish.”

“But I never took the oath seriously.”

“This is why the CCP is so evil. It had us swear with our lives, and wanted us to not care. When you quit the organization, it means that you are able to discern good from evil.”

The man said, “You know what? I don’t like the CCP. Otherwise I wouldn’t have moved to Canada.”

“You made a choice. Now, let me help you erase your vow so that your words and actions match. The divine will protect a kind and upright person who is consistent in his words and deeds.”

The man was a bit hesitant and said, “I saw a large-scale Falun Dafa march. What good does it do (as Falun Dafa is still persecuted in China)?”

The practitioner explained, “Practitioners experienced the most intense persecution in history. They were arrested and imprisoned. The CCP even removed their organs without consent and sold them for transplants. Not only have practitioners not given up Falun Dafa, they hold such grand marches. Doesn’t it make you feel hopeful? Society needs all of us to safeguard justice and virtue. So far 430 million people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and these people have chosen justice and conscience. When all Chinese people no longer want to be part of the CCP, it will end. If you don’t like the CCP, it’s all the more reason for you to quit. I can help you quit the Young Pioneers with an alias.”

The man agreed with what she said, “Yes, of course, thank you.”

Young People Change Their Minds

Ms. Zhang met a young couple at Queen’s Quay. At first they refused to take the Falun Dafa fliers that she offered. “What good does it do if I practiced Falun Dafa?” one of them asked.

Ms. Zhang explained how the practice improved her health and made her a better person. “In the past twenty years I never had to take a pill, and my coworkers say I am a good employee.”

“What evidence do you have when you said the practice can resolve illnesses?”

“The All-China Sports Federation conducted a survey of over 10,000 Falun Dafa practitioners in 1998, and it concluded that the effectiveness of Falun Dafa in improving health is 97.9%. You can find the report online.”

When Ms. Zhang suggested that they quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, the woman asked, “Why do we need to quit?”

“When we joined the CCP and its affiliated organizations, we vowed that we would fight for communism and devote our lives to the CCP. We should invalidate that vow. The divine is looking after humanity—not Marx and Lenin.”

“Do the divine really bless us?” the woman asked.

“Yes they do, and that’s why we shouldn’t take an oath that isn’t auspicious.”

The woman agreed to quit using her real name. The man quit the Youth League with an alias. They both took fliers from Ms. Zhang and thanked her.

An Elderly Woman Sees the CCP’s True Nature

A 80-year-old woman came up to a practitioner and asked, “I’ve seen Falun Dafa practitioners and their activities for years. I don’t understand, why are you fighting with the CCP?”

The practitioner told her, “Practitioners do not fight with the CCP. Falun Dafa teaches us to be good people. Former Chinese leader Jiang and his regime persecuted Falun Dafa because there were more practitioners than CCP members.”

When the practitioner asked if she joined any of the CCP’s organizations, she said no, “We were landowners, and the CCP viewed us as enemies.” “I was so little and couldn’t understand why it persecuted landowners, just like I don’t understand why it persecutes practitioners.” The woman continued to ask questions.

The practitioner explained, “The CCP controls people with lies, brutality, and struggles, yet Falun Dafa teaches people to follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. These two ideologies clash, and hence the CCP wants to eradicate the practice. Also the practice had over 100 million followers at the time, which made Jiang very jealous. He launched the persecution in 1999. The CCP does not reason with anyone. When it took down the land owners, it claimed that they should not be rich while farmers were poor, and hence the land owners deserved it. When it disliked Falun Dafa’s ideology of theism and kindness, it began persecuting practitioners. It makes up excuses for persecuting people.”

In the end the woman exclaimed, “I finally understand why the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa and oppresses people. For years no one explained it to me like you did!”

The practitioner gave the woman a copy of the Nine Commentaries before they parted. She repeatedly expressed her gratitude and said, “I’m so glad I met you!”
