(Minghui.org) I’ve produced materials to clarify the truth for almost 20 years. I never ran into a practitioner who understood technology, so I’ve been on my own. From breaking through the CCP’s (Chinese Communist Party) Internet blockade to downloading and producing materials, to repairing and maintaining computers and printing equipment, I did it all by myself. Although I had all kinds of difficulties, I never gave up and was determined to make truth-clarifying materials. I insisted on learning computer technology until I really mastered it. The process helped me eliminate many attachments, such as fear, showing off, ego, impatience, irritability, lust, eagerness, and so on.
If we study the Fa and always have the teachings in our hearts, wisdom will continue to flow from the Fa, and Master will help us. All the problems and difficulties we encounter will be resolved. I know I was only able to this because of compassionate Master’s great arrangements and protection. I’d like to tell you about my experiences.
The first difficulty I encountered was my lack of computer skills. Jing said that we needed a local site to produce materials, and of all the practitioners I was young, educated, and capable, so they asked me to do it. I already had this thought, but the conditions were not yet available. When I started, like other practitioners, I had no basic computer skills, such as downloading, surfing the Internet, burning CDs, unzipping files, PDFs, etc.
I spent a lot of time learning the basics of computers and practicing my skills. There was an old computer at my workplace and I practiced on it. I repeatedly installed the Windows operating system, until I became proficient. A coworker knew how to use computers, and I learned some basics from him. He is supportive of Falun Dafa and also quit the CCP.
I bought books and CDs about computer operation. I gradually learned to use the Internet-breaking software to surf the Internet, and later found the technical forum developed by practitioners. I registered an account for the Tiandixing Forum; I also registered an email address on the Minghui website. Whenever I encounter a technical problem, as soon as I post it on the forum fellow practitioners patiently help me. With their help I mastered various techniques, improved my computer skills, and laid a solid foundation for doing a good job in making truth-clarifying materials.
In 2006 I moved out of the company’s dormitory and rented a small house. I now had a place to make truth-clarifying materials. My family bought a desktop computer, and Jing bought an all-in-one machine for scanning, copying, and printing.
Because I didn’t know how to download materials, Jing brought a sample of materials (black and white and color in spots) for me to reprint. I first scanned the sample into a file and then manually removed the spots bit by bit, so that the page was as neat as possible. The process was very time-consuming. Because I had to go to work during the day, I mainly produced materials at night, often working until 1 or 2 o’clock in the morning. Although what I produced could be used, it was not beautiful. This situation went on for a long time.
I learned to download the original file directly from the Minghui website, so that I could use the original file to print materials, Minghui Weekly and other materials. The quality suddenly improved. I later purchased a black-and-white laser printer and an inkjet printer, to print out Master’s new lectures, Minghui Weekly, and other materials. The materials I produced met the needs of local practitioners.
Compassionate Master encouraged me. In 2007, 21 Udumbara flowers bloomed on the door of my rented room. I thank Master for his protection and affirmation.
Master has repeatedly mentioned safety so we must take this issue seriously. There are many articles in Minghui Weekly about paying attention to safety and not causing unnecessary losses: such as precautions about the use of mobile phones, maintaining one-to-one contact with fellow practitioners to pass on materials, and so on.
Paying attention to safety is not being fearful, but a question of compliance with the Fa. If you don’t pay attention to safety, you are not being responsible to yourself or others. The old forces are intently watching every practitioner, looking for an excuse to persecute us. If we are in the Fa they cannot do anything. I usually only print whatever practitioners need to ensure that the materials are not wasted.
A more important security issue is money. I have to buy computers, printers, supplies, etc.. sometimes the money that practitioners get is too much, so I put it aside and wait until I need it. It’s necessary to ensure that the special funds are used properly, so that they are not lost, reduced, or misappropriated.
Later, for safety reasons, the other practitioners asked me to stop going out to buy supplies—they asked that I focus on making materials, while another practitioner would purchase supplies. At that time, I still had more than 2,000 yuan, and I gave it to the practitioner who would be purchasing supplies.
It is impossible to completely avoid my family members (who recognize Dafa as good, but do not practice) while I quietly built the material site at home. I made it clear to them that I was determined to do this. I tried my best to get them to agree, or at least not to object. Surfing the Internet and making materials at home can take up a lot of time, especially in the evening, but it is not easy to do it without affecting my family. I also realized that Master has been helping me with this family material site from the beginning.
I live in a large three-bedroom and two-living room apartment, so I can produce materials in separate rooms, which basically does not affect my family. But when I began making materials we lived in a small two-bedroom rented apartment. My mother lived in one room, and I could only produce materials in the bedroom where my wife, children and I lived. Printing at night is noisy, especially when the printer fails and the paper jams. I often printed until 2 a.m. After we moved into the large apartment, my wife said that she sleeps soundly now. Doesn’t this show the power of Dafa and Master’s blessing?
I also needed to help with housework, but making materials comes first. Of course, sometimes my family doesn’t understand and scolds me. Whatever they say, I’m fine with it as long as they don’t delay me from doing the right thing.
During the 20 years I ran the production site, my father, mother, and father-in-law were hospitalized. My father died and my child was born. But those things did not delay making materials, and every week the materials are delivered to practitioners on time.
I log into the Minghui website and technical forums and I take a look at NTDTV every day.
Every time I send forth righteous thoughts, I add this thought: Clear up all the negative elements that block, attack, and monitor practitioners’ websites. In the process of breaking the Internet blockade, the more difficult it is, the more I realize I must believe in Master and the Fa. Although I sometimes have trouble I’m always able to open the Minghui page.
Even in the face of the current rampant network lockdown, I’ve been able to get on Minghui Network, Technology Forum, and NTDTV Network. I can upload the list of withdrawals from the CCP and its affiliated organizations every week, and download the latest truth materials such as Minghui Weekly. During holidays, I also send greeting cards, congratulatory messages, and articles on cultivation sharing to Minghui.
I’d like to encourage practitioners who haven’t been able to break through the Internet block: we must be patient and persistent and send righteous thoughts. Keep in mind Master’s teachings: “They have never been able to block the Minghui website!” (Teachings Given on Lantern Festival Day, 2003)
The time for making materials is very tight, but we have to find time to study the Fa and practice the exercises. In fact, every time we successfully break through the blockage, it’s a process of eliminating evil. We must cherish the path that Master paved for us.
In the process of making materials, I removed many attachments. I believe that as long as I take the Fa as my teacher and practice diligently, I will definitely be able to eliminate my remaining attachments and walk on the cultivation path Master arranged for me.
