(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 21 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yubo’s Appeal Rejected
The Huludao City Intermediate Court upheld 64-year-old Ms. Liu Yubo’s original verdict on June 20, 2024. She was sentenced to two years and three months in prison and fined 10,0000 yuan by the Lianshan District Court on April 25, 2024.
2. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Jing and Ms. Li Xianghong’s Appeals Rejected
Ms. Li Jing was sentenced to four and a half years with a 10,000-yuan fine, and Ms. Li Xianghong (no relation) was given four years with a 10,000-yuan fine by the Qindu District Court on February 19, 2024. Both women appealed their verdicts.The Xianyang City Intermediate Court ruled on June 18, 2024 to uphold their original verdicts.
3. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Zheng Guixiang, Bao Hua, and Shi Junhong were arrested by officers from the Dongjiantou Border Police Station while they were talking to people about Falun Gong on the roadside on June 18, 2024. Six boxes of Falun Gong books and other items were confiscated from Ms. Zheng’s home. The three practitioners are being held in the Dandong City Detention Center.
4. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yafen Arrested
When Ms. Zhang Yafen from Heishan County went out to talk to people about Falun Gong on June 16, 2024, she was followed to her home by five or six plainclothes officers. The officers arrested her and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and a computer. Ms. Zhang is being held in a detention facility in Jinzhou City.
5. [Chongqing] Ms. Wang Zelan Held in Detention Center
The family of Ms. Wang Zelan, in her 70s, from Hechuan District, lost contact with her around November 2023. It was later confirmed that she had been arrested and was held in the Hechuan District Detention Center.
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Xinping Arrested
Ms. Li Xinping was arrested at her son’s home on April 26, 2024. The details of her situation are not known.
7. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Wang Caixia, Ms. Wang Aixia, and Ms. Wang Lixia, from Cheng’an County, were studying Falun Gong teachings together in Chaiyao Village, Daodongbao Town, Cheng’an County, on the afternoon of June 12, 2024. Officers from the Daodongbao Town Police Station and Feixiang District Police Department broke in, arrested them, and confiscated their Falun Gong books. The three practitioners were held in Cheng’an County Detention Center for seven days.
8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Arrested
Mr. Zhang (first name unknown), a security guard at a residential community on Yuhe Road, Kuiwen District, was arrested around June 17, 2024. So far it is not clear whether he is being held in the Weifang City Detention Center or the Kuiwen District Public Security Detention Center.
9. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
The director of the No. 8 Township Police Station and two other officers, along with the No. 16 Township security director Wen Xiangyang, harassed practitioners Zhao Qingjie, Zhang Fuqin, and Wang Shengcheng on June 18, 2024. The officers took photos of Wang, took Wang’s fingerprints, and confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun. They also confiscated two Falun Gong magazines from Zhao and Zhang.
10. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuling Detained
Ms. Zhang Xiuling from Hulan District was reported to the police by a plainclothes officer while she was distributing Falun Gong materials on January 10, 2024. She was arrested and taken to the Guangming Police Station. She was released after being detained in Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center for 15 days.
11. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Xingyun Arrested
Ms. Zhang Xingyun from Zhouying Village, Qianying Township, was distributing Falun Gong materials on June 11, 2024. She was arrested by three plainclothes officers from the Hemujing Police Station and taken to Xinji City Detention Center, where she was detained there for seven days. She returned home on June 18.
12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Jing Arrested
Ms. Chen Jing from Gusaoshu Community was arrested at home on June 20, 2024. Details about her case aren’t clear.
13. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Gu Changchun Detained
Practitioner Gu Changchun from Baijia Village, Qiaoniao Township, Taihe District, was arrested when Gu went to a farmers’ market to talk to people about Falun Gong on May 14, 2024. Gu was then placed under administrative detention for 15 days and released on May 29.
14. [Chongqing] Ms. Liu Hefang’s Home Ransacked
Ms. Liu Hefang, 68, was talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of May 13, 2024. Several officers from the Shuangbei Police Station in Shapingba District and a household registration officer in charge of Qinju Village ransacked her home. They confiscated her Falun Gong books, a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong, leaflets, and amulets.
