(Minghui.org) Practitioners peacefully rallied in front of the Chinese Embassy in The Hague on July 18, 2024 to protest the persecution of Falun Dafa which has gone on for 25 years. They called for the persecution to end and demanded that detained practitioners in China be immediately released.

On July 20^th 25 years ago, former Chinese Communist Party (CCP) head Jiang Zemin, launched a brutal persecution of Falun Dafa and practitioners. Like practitioners in other countries, practitioners in Holland began exposing this persecution. They’ve held activities in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, and Utrecht to introduce Falun Dafa, and tell people about the persecution, including the organ harvesting crimes targeting living practitioners.

Exposing the Persecution

When Wang Jiaeng, President of the Falun Dafa Association in Holland, spoke at the event, she explained what Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) is and the benefits of practicing. She said practitioners in Holland clarified the truth to people, persevered in exposing the persecution, told people about the CCP’s atrocities and the heinous crime of organ harvesting from practitioners throughout the past 25 years. She strongly condemned the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa.

Mr. Wu, also from the Holland Falun Dafa group, read an open letter to the Chinese Embassy. The letter stated, “On July 20, 1999, the CCP launched a brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, which shows the CCP is doomed to fail. Practitioners tell people how wonderful Falun Dafa is and expose the CCP’s evil acts. They protest the persecution with peace and rationality.

“In the past 25 years, Falun Gong practitioners raise awareness and help people to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and choose a bright future for themselves. We hope more people will wake up and quit the CCP.

“We call for the persecution to end, stop harvesting organs from practitioners, and immediately release all detained practitioners, and hold the persecutors accountable.”

Anneloes said, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are beautiful. Together we can create a more beautiful world.”

When Anneloes walked past the Chinese Embassy she noticed the rally. She was happy to receive the pamphlets and a paper lotus flower from a practitioner. The practitioner clarified the truth to her. She was shocked to learn the extent of the brutal persecution. She said everyone should meditate and that she liked to meditate. She said, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are beautiful and together we can create a more beautiful world."

A man driving by in his car stopped to take a flier and listened to a practitioner clarify the truth. He expressed his support for practitioners.

Clarifying Truth in The Hague’s Business Center

Practitioners went to the business center in The Hague that afternoon to clarify the truth to people. They demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, distributed flyers and collected signatures on the petition to end the organ harvesting.

David Grabara is from Indonesia. After he and his friend learned how the CCP harvests organs from practitioners while they are alive, they were sad. Practitioners told them people’s support can help alleviate the persecution, so they immediately signed the petition. They were interested in Falun Dafa’s guiding principles, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The practitioner told them that practitioners strive to put them into practice in their daily lives.

Michael Veezeilbeng who owns a local business told a practitioner that he knew the CCP harvests organs. He said it was a crime and was evil. He signed the petition to end the persecution. He said following Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance can help people gain peace. He said he appreciated practitioners’ holding events to raise awareness.

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?

Falun Dafa was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Its teachings are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings and exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology. On July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization that has the power to override the police and judicial systems. Its sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 24 years. However, the actual number is believed to be much higher, due to the difficulty in getting information out of China. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
