Passersby Learn About the Persecution

Many passersby stopped to listen to practitioners describe their experiences while practicing cultivation or they read the display boards which introduced Falun Dafa and the on-going persecution in China.

A tourist named Patrick said that people in a country are like a big family, so the (CCP’s) live organ harvesting is killing its own family. “This is so evil!” he said.

When Marilyn, a resident of Bellevue, heard about the CCP’s live organ harvesting, she was shocked and said, “How can such evil exist in the world?! If you have even a little bit of humanity, you wouldn’t do such a thing.”

When she learned that the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Falun Gong Protection Act, she said, “This is great! We should all say ‘No’ to such atrocities. The United States will never allow it. I believe the Senate will also pass this bill.”

The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Falun Gong Protection Act on June 25 2024. The bill requires the United States to stop the CCP’s live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience, and requires the United States to impose sanctions on those who participate in, and assist in live organ harvesting in China.

Lily, a Falun Gong practitioner and former senior engineer at a state-owned enterprise in Shandong Province, said she suffered from severe stomach problems and skin allergies 28 years ago. Three months after she began practicing Falun Gong, she recovered and was free of all ailment. “I follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, consider others first when doing things, and became the person my colleagues trust. My family, neighbors, and colleagues all saw the merits of Falun Gong from my changes,” Lily said.

Using her real name, she filed a complaint against former leader Jiang Zemin for persecuting Falun Gong in 2015. She was arrested and detained and later held and severely tortured in a brainwashing center, which resulted in her heart failure.

Her family in the U.S. went to a Washington state congressman’s office for help. After being rescued, she came to Seattle with her family. Lily said, “I thank the U.S. government for its support and for helping Falun Gong. I hope to work with kind people in the United States and around the world to end the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong.”
