(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Yan Zhenxiang was arrested by officers from the Chengdong Police Station in Gaoxin District on the morning of July 7, 2024.
Ms. Cai Shuiyun was arrested outside of Fenxi County by officers from the Zhu Town Police Station in Fenxi County on the afternoon of July 8, 2024. The police attempted to take her to Yuncheng City.
Ms. Zhang Xiuqin was arrested on January 17, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She was tried by the Linghai City Court on April 11, 2024. The judge announced on May 10, 2024 to sentence her to six years in prison with a 12,000-yuan fine.
Ms. Zhang appealed with the Jinzhou City Intermediate Court on May 13, 2024. It ruled on July 2, 2024, to uphold her original verdict.
Sun Chao from Heilongjiang Province was arrested by officers from the Silicun Police Station in Shizhong District of Ji’nan City on June 8, 2024, and has been detained in the Zhonggong Detention Center. The Shizhong District Procuratorate approved Sun’s arrest on June 21, 2024.
Ms. Huang Hezhi was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong on May 17, 2024, and managed to escape from being arrested. The three officers confiscated her bike and the bag which had her ID, 800 yuan in cash, and Falun Gong materials. She has been forced to live away from home to avoid further persecution.
Ms. Mou Xiaoqin from Chekuang Village of Xiaozhuang Town was arrested at home by officers from Changchun City on April 15, 2024. She is currently detained in the Nong’an Detention Center.
Ms. Zhong Fangqiong was arrested in Dafeng Town, Xindu District on June 27, 2024. She is currently detained in Chengdu City Detention Center.
Ms. Wang Ruimei and Ms. Zhang were arrested when they went out on June 5, 2024. Their homes were ransacked. Both practitioners have been released.
Ms. Niu Yumin was photographed when talking to people about Falun Gong and arrested on June 5, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She was given 15 days of detention, but was released after the detention center refused to admit her due to her health condition.
