(Minghui.org) The Falun Dafa Association in South Korea held an experience-sharing conference for volunteer assistants at the Korea Seonbi Culture Training Center in Yeongju on June 22 and 23, 2024. Because practitioners previously held events there, the management knows practitioners are good people and supported the conference by offering a discounted rate.

The purpose of the conference was to discuss feedback for Shen Yun's promotion in South Korea from the past season and how to better tell people about Falun Dafa. Practitioners read Zhuan Falun, the main teachings of Falun Dafa the first day. Kwon Hong-dae, president of the Korean Falun Dafa Association, shared related information and answered questions to enhance communication between the Falun Dafa Association and assistants. He also described the difficulties encountered when renting the venue (for Shen Yun) due to interference from the Chinese Embassy.

After dinner, the assistants were divided into six groups based on region and gender. During the four-hour-long meeting, they talked about how to do better in telling people the facts about Falun Dafa and introducing the practice to the public. Many practitioners shared their experiences and the discussions went very well. 

“Having a clear mind is very important. If you have faith in Falun Dafa and Master Li, miracles will happen,” assistant Mr. Lee said. Another assistant, Mr. Kim from Seongnam in Gyeonggi Province, suggested making the best use of opportunities in our daily lives. He said by organizing more group exercises, interacting with people, and holding workshops, we can help more people learn what Falun Dafa is. 

Before he began practicing Falun Dafa Mr. Baek, an assistant from Geumsan, was a government official for 34 years. Referring to his own experience, he talked about the importance of giving out flyers. Once his wrist became so painful that he could not even brush his teeth. A young man he knew gave him a flyer he received two years before, saying the practice might help ease the pain. In order to find the practice site listed on the flyer, Mr. Baek and the young man drove in the snow for more than 50 minutes. After attending a nine-day session and watching videos of lectures given by Master Li, Mr. Baek started to practice Falun Dafa. He has been reading the Dafa books and doing the exercises every day for 16 years. After hearing how one flyer helped Mr. Baek and his wife learn Falun Dafa, practitioners said they had a better understanding of why we should keep distributing flyers. 

One practitioner talked about his experience of introducing Falun Dafa to mainstream society, especially local city councilors. These councilors are interested in meeting residents and they have connections with members of the National Assembly as well as the mayor and other officials in the city council. Practitioners can meet with them and tell them about Falun Dafa. 

Some groups had very good discussions and they continued until nearly midnight, much longer than originally scheduled. Practitioners talked about how to do better in aligning themselves with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and cultivating as if they had just begun practicing.

Because of the rain, the group exercise scheduled for the following morning was moved indoors and some practitioners did the exercises outside under the eaves. 

All the assistants gathered after breakfast and representatives from each of the six groups shared what was discussed the day before. 

Mr. Park from Jeju Island said many Chinese tourists visited the island lately. He asked that more practitioners who can speak Chinese go there and help tell these visitors the facts about the persecution. This will not only help them break away from the defamatory lies of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), but also allow them to quit the CCP organizations for a better future. 

Many assistants said they learned a lot during the two-day conference. They plan to do better in their own cultivation practice and coordinate well in the areas they are responsible for.
