(Minghui.org) In support of activities held on the occasion of the United Nations International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, Falun Gong practitioners in Paris held several events to raise awareness about the persecution in China and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience.

People stop at information booths set up by practitioners in Paris to learn about the persecution of Falun Dafa and sign a petition to stop the atrocities in China.

Practitioners set up information booths at the renowned La Défense area in Paris from 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening on June 2, 2024. They demonstrated the five sets of exercises and displayed information on how the CCP uses inhuman ways to torture practitioners in China in order to force them to renounce their belief. Many people came to the booth to find out more about Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa) and sign the petition calling for an end to the persecution. A number of passersby stopped to learn the exercises and said they loved the graceful movements.

Alex Grigoresque and his wife Mihaela Grigoresque passed by the area that day and stopped to watch the exercise demonstration. They were stunned after hearing a practitioner describe the persecution in China.

Alex, an IT expert, said, “I honestly did not know such things were happening. I was astounded. I believe this is true, I don’t doubt it.” He said, after signing the petition, “Yes, after seeing information on the persecution, you cannot help but oppose this! This is not what we hoped for, in our time. I think it’s cruel that such things are happening to people, yet it exists. This is shocking and I must protest against it.”

Alex Grigoresque and his wife were shocked by the brutality of the persecution.

He added, “In fact, everyone has freedom of thought, as long as they don’t harm others, they should live freely.”

Mr. Jean-Paul Giordi, who owns a real estate business, signed the petition after reading the display boards and watching the exercise demonstrations. He said, “Everyone I see here are good people, kind and tolerant. The organ harvesting I see is a form of hidden genocide; it is a terrible thing.”

Mr. Giordi had an excellent impression of Chinese people. “This is crazy,” he said about the forced organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience, adding that the people in power are conducting forced organ harvesting on innocent people to benefit themselves.

Manon Durand, a psychologist, walked to where practitioners were doing the exercises and began to follow along with them.

She said, “This is a new experience, very interesting. The exercises are beautiful, full of energy.” Referring to the persecution of practitioners in China and the organ harvesting crimes, Ms. Durand said, “We absolutely do not agree with such behavior.” She commended the practitioners for demonstrating the exercises in public and said it was a brave thing to do.
