(Minghui.org) Ms. Zheng Shuying’s home was raided again on June 4, 2024, because she refused to give up her faith in Falun Gong, a mind-body practice that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since July 1999.

The police confiscated Ms. Zheng’s Falun Gong books and other valuables. They did not arrest her.

Ms. Zheng, a Shanghai resident, used to work as a senior engineer at a telecommunications company. She began practicing Falun Gong before 1999 and her eyesight soon improved. More than two decades have passed and she is as healthy as can be. Now in her 80s, she can hear and see clearly.

For upholding her faith, Ms. Zheng has been repeatedly targeted over the years. She was arrested on March 7, 2014, and her home was raided. She was put under criminal detention in a local detention center. On April 4 that year, Liu Junxiang, then head of the local 610 Office, transferred her to a brainwashing center. Local street committee members were ordered to come in and monitor her around the clock.

Ms. Zheng in 2015 filed a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator, for ordering the persecution of Falun Gong. The police harassed her at home numerous times afterwards.
