(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 25 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ren Changbin Faces Trial

Mr. Ren Changbin will be tried by the Xiangyang Court at 10 a.m. on June 18, 2024.

2. [Tianjin] Ms. Gao Tiwen Detained

Ms. Gao Timen from the Dongli District has been detained in the Dongli District Detention Center. It was said that officers from the Xinli Village Police Station and the Dongli District Police Department are planning to file her case with the procuratorate.

3. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Placed Under Official Arrest

Mr. Tian Pengfei, Ms. Fu Wenhui, and Mr. He Hongjun, who were arrested during a group arrest on May 11, 2024, are now placed under official arrest. Nine practitioners are currently detained in the Chaoyang City Detention Center. They are Tian Pengfei, Fu Wenhui, He Hongjun, Song Zhifu, Chen Doulin, Wang Yuhua, Lan Qingzhong, Lv Wentao, and Lyu Yansong.

4. [Tianjin] Ms. Feng Shuyuan Arrested and Detained

Ms. Feng Shuyuan from the Binhai New District was arrested by Hujiayuan Street Police Station officers on the morning of June 10, 2024. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books, computer, and printer. Ms. Feng is being held in the Tanggu Detention Center.

5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xia Yulan Detained

Ms. Xia Yulan was arrested at home by officers from the Wuchang District Court and the Meiyuan Police Station on June 15, 2024. She is being held in the Wuhan City Women’s Detention Center.

6. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Guo Meixue Tried

Mr. Guo Meixue was tried in the Longkou Court on the afternoon of June 5, 2024. The verdict was not announced at the end of the trial.

7. [Longjiang County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Longji Arrested

Mr. Li Longji from Longjiang County was arrested by officers in Shangqiu City on June 10, 2024, for distributing truth clarifying materials.

8. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yu Shikun Arrested and Detained

Ms. Yu Shikun was arrested at her son’s home in Baoding City by officers from Beijing and from the Wusi Road Police Station in Baoding City on June 12, 2024. Her home was ransacked. Ms. Yu was placed under detention by the Mentougou District Police Department.

9. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Pan Jingxian and Ms. Chen Lihua Arrested

Ms. Pan Jingxian was arrested on June 11, 2024. The police also took her husband away .

Ms. Chen Lihua was arrested on June 12, 2024, and given 15 days of detention.

10. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Cai Yuchang Released From Prison

Ms. Cai Yuchang was arrested by Airport Police Station officers in the Longhu District on December 12, 2020. She was sentenced to three years and six months and fined 10,000 yuan by the Jinping District Court on September 13, 2021. Ms. Cai was incarcerated in the Guangdong Province Women’s Prison and released on June 11, 2024.

11. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Xu Chunxue and Ms. Wang Shufen Arrested

Mr. Xu Chunxue and Ms. Wang Shufen from Qinghecheng Town, Benxi County, were arrested by Qinghecheng Town Police Station officers on May 22, 2024. Ms. Wang Shufen was released the same day. Mr. Xu Chunxue was later released on bail pending trial.

12. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liang Zhimin Missing

No one has heard from Ms. Liang Zhimin since she went to a hostel in Daqiao Town on June 13, 2024.

13. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yan Xiufeng Passed Away After Years of Persecution

Mr. Yan Xiufeng, 80, from the Qiezihe District passed away in late 2023. He had been harassed, threatened, arrested, and sentenced to prison for years because he practiced Falun Gong.

Mr. Yan and his wife Ms. Xu Huaxiang were arrested by Qiezihe Police Station officers on July 11, 2022. Their home was ransacked. The couple was pressured and signed the guarantee statement against their will.

Mr. Yan was sentenced to six months in prison, to be executed outside prison for one year, and fined 2000 yuan by the Qiezihe District Court at the end of 2022. His wife Xu Huaxiang was also sentenced to seven months in prison to be executed outside of prison for one year.

14. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Ma Fang Followed

Ms. Ma Fang was out shopping on June 15, 2024, when a man in his 40s followed her. Details are to be investigated.
