Proactively Expose Any Harassment and Eliminate the Evil Behind the Police

June 26, 2024 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in Liaoning Province, China

(Minghui.org) Over the past two months, many local practitioners were harassed by the police, but very few cases were reported on the Minghui website.

In most cases, police officers and community workers went to practitioners’ homes, asked a few questions, and took their photos. Many practitioners felt that it wasn’t a big deal because they weren’t pressured to renounce or denounce Falun Gong. Some actually felt good about themselves, because they clarified the facts to the harassers.

My understanding is that any harassment comes from evil beings manipulating the police or community workers. On the human level, we must treat the harassers with rationality and clarify the facts to them. On other levels, we also need to send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil behind them to target the root cause and prevent this kind of persecution from happening again.

Only a few years ago, between 2021 and 2022, there was a massive “Zero-out” harassment campaign in which the authorities targeted practitioners across the country, ordering them to write statements to renounce Falun Gong. What caused the recent massive harassment to happen again so quickly? Is it because we failed to recognize our problems or certain attachments and the old forces used this as an excuse to initiate a new wave of harassment?

I think one reason is that we didn’t expose the evil over the years and allowed it to persecute us. When practitioners refuse to expose the persecution, saying they don’t know the names of the harassers, it just sounds like an excuse to me. Most police stations and residential committees post details of their staff on bulletin boards or publish them somewhere, so their names and contact information aren’t hard to find.

When we expose the persecution, we can protect ourselves by describing the incident from a third-party perspective. Of course, the more details we provide, the better. Meanwhile, practitioners outside China help by calling the police and advising them not to participate in the persecution. Some police do fear retribution if they find their names reported on Minghui.org. These reports will definitely make them think twice before they harass practitioners again.

Facing the ongoing persecution, we all need to think about whether there are xinxing issues that need to be improved upon or certain attachments to remove when we don’t take immediate actions when the persecution happens.

Even though the old forces use the persecution as an excuse to improve our cultivation, we cannot acknowledge it. I urge practitioners around the country to take action and expose the persecution. With help from overseas practitioners, I believe we can work together to eliminate the evil on a large scale.
