(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Kuiwen District practitioners Zhang Rongrong, Zhang Jianping, Lao Li (nickname), and Li Shuyun were arrested by officers from the Fangzi District Police Department on the morning of April 22, 2024. Their homes were ransacked. They were put into the Weifang Detention Center located on Shuiku Road on the afternoon of April 23, 2024.
Ms. Du Guozhen and Ms. Zhang Yuxian were arrested at home by officers from the Qiaoxi District’s Weiming Sub-district Police Station on the evening of April 18, 2024. They are being held in the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center.
Ms. Liu Hexiang and her husband were arrested on July 1, 2020. Their home was ransacked. They were sentenced to three years in prison. She was abused in the Nanchang Women’s Prison. She became emaciated and developed cancer. She underwent gastrointestinal surgery inside the prison and was in critical condition. She died at age 70 on March 29, 2024, less than a year after she was released from prison.
Ms. Tian Yuchun who lives in the Erdao District was arrested at home at noon on April 19, 2024. Her Falun Gong books and other items were confiscated.
Ms. Lu Xiuhua and Ms. Xie Jiangying were arrested by officers from the Wulipai Police Station on April 11, 2023, after someone reported them for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were released around 9:00 p.m. after their family members were forced to sign police documents.
Officers from the Jintai District Domestic Security Division, Dongfeng Road Police Station, Weibin District Domestic Security Division, and Weigong Road Police Station carried out a coordinated action and arrested Ms. Chai Xiufang, Ms. Wang Guaiyan, Ms. Liu Lingti, Ms. Gou Qiufang, and Ms. Xiao Bin on April 11, 2024. Ms. Liu and Ms. Gou were released. The other three practitioners were put into the Weibin District Detention Center on April 16, 2024.
Ms. Feng Xinyu distributed Falun Gong flyers in a neighborhood on April 23, 2024. The neighborhood security reported her. She was arrested by officers from the Qiaoxi Police Station. The officers seized her home key, ransacked her home, and confiscated her Falun Gong books, two computers, and other items.
Ms. Chen Min and Ms. Han Yun who live in the Shenbei New District were arrested on April 23, 2024. Ms. Han was released. Ms. Chen’s whereabouts are unknown.
Mr. Lin Maocheng is incarcerated in the Dalian City Prison. He was forced to work as a prison laborer.
Several officers from the Xingning City Police Department broke into Mr. Xie Yujun’s home on April 24, 2024. They illegally held his wife and their ten-year-old son, pressured them to tell his whereabouts, and seized several cell phones, a computer, and other items.
Police returned to his home later and questioned his family again about his whereabouts. Plainclothes officers and police cars were stationed around his home.
Officers from the Hudong Police Station were ordered by the 610 Office to watch Ms. Zhou Ling and Ms. Chen Jie during the April 25 anniversary period.
Ms. Ping Meijing from Huangmei County, Hubei Province has been taking care of her grandson in Kaiping City. She was arrested by officers from the Qiaoyuan Police Station on January 7, 2024. She was held for over a month in the Third Division of the Kaiping City Detention Center, but she was deprived of family visits. Her son paid 8,000 yuan and hired an attorney. She was released several days later.
Ms. Li Ximin who lives in Dongwang Village, Kuiwen District, was arrested by officers from the Fangzi Police Department on the morning of April 22, 2024. Her home was ransacked.
Ms. Gao Guiyun and Ms. Gao Shuying were arrested at home by the deputy director and officers from the Huangtuzhuang Town Police Station on April 19, 2024. Their homes were ransacked. They are being held in the Sanhe City Detention Center.
Ms. Sun Juan talked to a middle school student about the persecution of Falun Gong on April 5, 2024. Two officers approached her from behind, grabbed her arms, and said “go to police station.” She refused to get into a police car. The officers called and had two more officers come. They handcuffed her and took her to the Youyi Police Station. After she was held for more than four hours, they called her son and had him pick her up.
