(Minghui.org) Practitioners held an event at Cape Town harbor on May 10, 2024, to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day and the 32nd anniversary of the public introduction of Falun Dafa, and to congratulate Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, on his birthday. They distributed fliers, talked to passers-by, and told people of the merits of Falun Dafa.

May is the end of autumn in South Africa and it was a rainy day on May 10^th. Falun Dafa practitioners went to Astron Energ, a gas station near the pier, to distribute fliers. The area is near a supermarket, and there was a lot of traffic and people. Practitioners passed out fliers to drivers who were refueling and talked to people who were shopping. They wanted residents and tourists to hear about Falun Dafa and Dafa’s guiding principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

Traffic Policeman Praises Falun Dafa’s Principles 

Traffic policeman Mr. Richard, who was refueling his car, happily accepted a flier and a lotus flower bookmark. He thanked practitioners for letting him know about Falun Dafa and Dafa’s principles. He said, “I will be a good person in accordance with the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.”

He explained that he often clears the way for convoys transporting foreign heads of state, and he knew that Falun Dafa is practiced in many countries. “In the future, if there are Dafa activities held locally, I am willing to escort Falun Dafa’s convoys!” he said.

After listening to practitioners describe Falun Dafa and accepting a beautiful little lotus flower, Chigana, who works at the Port Authority, said, “Falun Dafa has created positive energy. South Africa needs this kind of positive energy now.”

Pedro, a tourist from Brazil, said that he’d heard of Falun Dafa and he’s seen people practicing the exercises in parks in Brazil. 

An Islamic woman sitting in the back of a mini bus said, after receiving a flier, that she was interested in Dafa and expressed her sympathy for the practitioners who are persecuted in China.
