(Minghui.org) During the Chinese New Year, my mother visited a good friend who told her that she and her husband recently witnessed a miracle.
The couple have a small piece of land in the countryside where they grow vegetables and grain for their consumption. After the autumn harvest, her husband collected the hay in the field and prepared to burn it. She was afraid it might cause a fire, but her husband lit it anyway. The fire immediately ignited the surrounding weeds, spread quickly, and grew bigger. Terrified, her husband wanted to call the police. Remembering something my mother told her, she immediately put her hands together, and shouted, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are good.” After repeatedly saying these auspicious phrases for a while, the woman noticed that the fire died out.
She told my mother, “Had he called the police, we’d have been in big trouble. He could have been arrested and charged with arson. Luckily, I remembered what you told me, and after I repeatedly said the auspicious words, the fire moved to a small ditch and then died out. Isn’t this miraculous?”
Her husband added with a big smile, “It was miraculous! The fire went out after she started saying the auspicious phrases.”
My mother told them the facts about Falun Dafa multiple times before, but they were doubtful. After witnessing the power of Dafa, the couple was completely convinced. Mother further clarified the truth to them. Her friend showed my mother the pendant with the words, “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are good,” engraved on it and said, “Look, I have all the pendants you gave me. I also like the desk calendar you gave me.”
Her husband said that he had broken his leg some time ago, and it still hurt. My mother told him to recite the nine words. He asked, “Does that mean I have to clasp my hands, and say them loudly?" My mother replied, “No, just recite them sincerely in your heart. No matter what happens, recite the words sincerely.” The couple nodded their heads in agreement while saying, “Absolutely. Absolutely.”
