(Minghui.org) For years, I’ve taken other practitioners on my motorcycle or gone on my own to villages or markets to clarify the truth about the persecution to people. I was able to persuade 10 to 20 people to quit the CCP and its youth organizations each time.
In November, 2016, someone reported me. I was arrested and the police extorted 5,000 yuan from my family. Three plainclothes officers broke into my home in June 2017, and took more than 40 Falun Dafa books, a small speaker, some truth-clarification CDs, calendars, and other items.
My husband is frugal and tries to avoid trouble. These two incidents frightened him and he asked for a divorce. “I can’t live like this,” he said.
When I was alone at home one morning I heard rapid knocking on the door. I asked, “Who is it?” Someone answered, “The police.” My heart was filled with fear. I said, “I don’t know who you are. I’m the only here so I won’t open the door.” They left, but the fear did not leave me.
I covered the peephole on the door. I soon heard another knock. This time I didn’t say anything. At dusk I heard my neighbor calling me from outside. When I opened the door she said, “I knocked on your door this morning, but no one answered. My daughter-in-law said three policemen asked her where the person who practices Falun Dafa lives. She said she didn’t know. She called me and asked me to tell you.”
I realized that the second person knocking that morning was my neighbor. I didn’t dare tell my husband the police came. I later told him the police were starting a knocking-on-doors campaign and were looking for anyone who practices Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong in China). I said I planned to stay with my mother who is a practitioner and lives in another town.
Before I went to my mother’s house, I had a dream: I was riding my motorcycle and drove into a sandstorm. I arrived at a store, and next to it was a wall made of plastic barrels filled with water. The wall collapsed and the plastic barrels floated away. A man inside the store was holding a copy of Zhuan Falun and one of my neighbors was there. The man told me I should give my neighbor a letter, and then I woke up.
In felt depressed after I arrived at my mother’s place. I just couldn’t cheer up. Although I read the Fa (teachings) with other practitioners, my heart was filled with pain.
One day I told another practitioner how the police came and ransacked my home. She said the old forces don’t control us, and we are under Master’s care. But I thought, “The persecution is real, how can we say it has nothing to do with the old forces?”
When I talked to her a few days later, she repeated what she said before, “The old forces don’t control us, and we are under Master’s care.” I suddenly understood. Yes, I really have nothing to do with the old forces—I am a Falun Dafa practitioner, and Master is looking after me. I felt that Master is in a very high place, and is controlling everything. What should I be afraid of?
I thought, what does Master want me to do? Master wants me to clarify the truth and save people. Those police didn’t understand the truth, so that’s why they persecuted me. As soon as I had that thought, my fear was gone.
A few days later my husband called me around 8 a.m. He said that some police just came, and wanted me to come home. The said they would not persecute me—they just wanted me to sign the bail documents.
I phoned and asked to talk to the officer in charge, “What’s your last name?” He said Liu. I said, “Officer Liu, I sympathize with your difficulty. It’s not easy for you, and you have to follow orders. But years ago the administration announced that it lifted restrictions on the publication of Falun Dafa books. This means that I can legally have the books. In fact, it’s illegal to take my books away. I can sue you if you do. Please tell your chief.”
I wondered how to clarify the truth to the police further, and I thought of talking to the chief of the police station. I chose a certain evening, but I could not decide whose cell phone to use. When I asked my mother if I could use hers, she said no, because she used her phone to contact other practitioners. I thought, the police know where and who I am. I have nothing to fear, I should just use my own phone.
I asked other practitioners to send righteous thoughts for me, and I asked my brother to drive me to another location to make a call. I sat in the car and called the police chief. I asked him what his name was and told him I wanted to talk to him. He told me he was busy and had to attend a meeting. We could talk another day.
I planned to call him again the next day. Coincidentally, a practitioner brought over a leaflet titled: “Falun Gong is completely legal in China.” It had a link showing “The National Press and Publication Administration has announced [it lifted] the ban on publishing Falun Gong books.” I wrote two long text messages and sent them to the police chief.
After staying with my mother for less than a month, I returned home. I felt the persecution had nothing to do with me. The police no longer came to bother me.
Several years passed. As I reflect on that experience now, my heart is full of gratitude to Master. The things the police illegally confiscated included 5 phone cards that I used to make truth-clarification calls, truth-clarification paper money worth about 1,000 yuan, truth clarification materials, and some Dafa books. Master’s blessing helped me overcome this ordeal.
Master made all the arrangements long ago. When I recall that dream, I feel Master was telling me the persecution I feared was just like a sandstorm, and had no real effect. It looked like a wall, but it was an illusion—it was nothing. The letter (to the male neighbor in the dream) symbolized the text messages I wrote to the police chief. Master arranged everything, we just need to have righteous thoughts.
