(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 6 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
When Mr. Hu Yongli’s family went to the Panjin Prison to visit him on February 8, 2024, they were told that he was not there. He was transferred to the Nanshan Prison and was in the No. 8 Ward. When his family went there they were told they would have to wait two weeks before they could visit him or deposit money for him.
Ms. Li Meiqin was harassed at home by two officers after 5:00 p.m. on February 12, 2024. One officer ordered her to show her identity card and he took picture of it. The other asked if she still practiced Falun Gong. She did not answer directly.
Ms. Li was one of the Longkou practitioners who were arrested during the mass arrest on May 9, 2023. After she was released, two officers went to her home in December 2023, and threatened her. She was told to “stay home quietly” and,“don’t go out,” etc.
Huang Jiankun, gender unknown, was reported after talking to a young man about the persecution of Falun Gong one evening in January, 2024. Police located him or her through the surveillance system. Huang was arrested at the work place by officers from the Wuqing District’s Xuguantun Police Station on the evening of January 17, 2024. Huang’s home was ransacked that night. The police seized a copy of Zhuan Falun. Huang was detained for 15 days beginning the evening of January 18, 2024.
Ms. Xu Hongzhi, 60, and her sister Ms. Xu Honexia, 58, live in Taiqian Village.
Village security clerk Wang Fuyou went to Ms. Xu Hongzhi’s home on the morning of February 7, 2024. He said he came to take a picture. He took a picture of her yard and left.
That afternoon, Wang’s wife Gao Hong’ai led two officers from the Hongmen Police Station to her home. They knocked on her door and shouted loudly. When she did not open her door, they left.
The group then went to Ms. Xu Hongxia’s home, knocked on her door, and shouted her husband’s name. When she did not open the door, they finally left.
Liu Fuzhe, gender unknown, was arrested at home by officers from the Fuxin Police Station one afternoon in 2024. The officers seized a Falun Gong book, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and a wall decoration with the Chinese character “Fu” (blessing). Liu was taken to the police station for interrogation and was released that evening.
