(Minghui.org) I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996 and I’ve overcome many tribulations in the past 28 years. After the persecution of Falun Dafa was launched, I was incarcerated in detention and brainwashing centers. The only way I broke through these tribulations was because of Master’s protection and my faith in Falun Dafa. I would like to share an experience of how my family and property were protected during a flood.

My house is located between a road and a large river. The river bank is only 1.5 meters above the water. To protect our house from flood, we added a couple of meters to the existing dam.

We had about 165,000 pounds of harvest this year. Part of it was put out on the west side of our house to dry in the sun.

It started raining heavily on August 19 and started storming on August 20. The water level behind our house rose quickly when the water from upstream poured in. The water soon approached the village. My son and daughter-in-law happened to be in the village, and my husband called them and told them to hurry home. My grandson and granddaughter wept in fear. I told them that Master would protect their parents, and asked them to repeat, “Falun Dafa is great, and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great!” They did as I asked and calmed down.

My son and daughter-in-law returned home safely. Soon afterwards, the water entered our front yard, and village officials called and told us to evacuate. My sister also called to tell us to leave right away, but it was already too late. The flood washed away about 60,000 pounds of our harvest that was outside the warehouses. When the water was one foot away and about to enter our warehouse’s front yard, it suddenly went around it, flowed through the backyard, and entered the river. The flood was 3 to 4 meter deep in other places, but didn’t enter our warehouses.

I didn’t give it too much thought because I have strong faith in Master and Falun Dafa. I knew that as a Falun Dafa practitioner, everything I have is blessed by Master, and nothing can take it away. I entrusted everything to Master and stayed unaffected.

Master told us,

“ Just by staying unaffected you will be able to handle all situations.” (Teachings at the Midwestern U.S. Conference)

Before the rain finally stopped, many homes in our villages were flooded. Some had water higher than their beds. Some pigs were carried away by the flood and drowned. Although we lost some of our harvest, I knew that everything happened for a reason—no loss, no gain. My husband was grateful for Falun Dafa’s protection,and said that we could have lost our entire harvest in the flood.

Instead of losing money, we made a profit of 15,000 yuan by selling the remaining harvest. We thought it would be hard to sell, but we got a surprisingly good price. After we sold everything, the demand went down and the price dropped.
