(Minghui.org) I have noticed over the years that many Americans around me lack an adequate understanding of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In particular, young people often know little about what the CCP really is, and they do not recognize its harm and potentially fatal threat to the United States.
Consistent with The Communist Manifesto, the CCP has always aimed to dominate the world. Mao Zedong raised the call to “liberate all mankind” and plant the red flag of communism all over the world by exporting the communist revolution globally. Because of America’s leading role in the free world, the CCP sees the U.S. as its biggest enemy. “Down with U.S. imperialism” was a common slogan the CCP used while incited hatred among Chinese citizens. After decades of brainwashing, many Chinese people now harbor a deep hatred for the U.S., though they cannot explain why.
The havoc of the Cultural Revolution (1966 – 1976) almost completely destroyed China’s economy. To ensure its survival, the CCP turned to the policy of “reform and opening up.” Nonetheless, CCP leader Deng Xiaoping once admitted internally that war with the U.S. would be inevitable. Due to the large gap in strength between the two countries, however, the CCP adopted the strategy of “keeping a low profile and biding your time.”
This cunning approach misled Western leaders to believe that the CCP would not pose a threat as the Soviet Union did. Furthermore, some Western politicians acted on the wishful thinking that economic growth would change the CCP and transform China into a country of freedom, democracy, and human rights. So, these countries generously provided China with financial capital, technology, and a global market.
With this support, the CCP’s economy grew dramatically, as did its military power. Once it considered itself strong enough, the CCP gradually lowered its mask. After its 19th National Congress in 2017, top CCP leaders met in Shanghai, where its first National Congress was held, and vowed to “never forget our original goal.”
Back in 2013, the CCP leadership proposed “a community of common destiny for mankind.” The official translation of this phrase was later changed to “a community with a shared future for mankind” to soften its tone. In essence, it meant establishing a new world order led by the CCP.
To achieve this goal, the CCP has sought to divide Western countries, through such means as alienating Europe from the U.S.; buying influence with politicians in other countries; expanding its reach with the “One Belt, One Road” initiative; building overseas military bases; and attempting to internationalize the renminbi (RMB), weaken the U.S. dollar, and eventually replace the U.S. dollar with the renminbi.
To weaken the economic, technological, and military power of the U.S., the CCP has engaged in “unrestricted warfare,” including information warfare, cyber warfare, psychological warfare, drug warfare, and so on.
Mao once said, “Fortresses are easiest to breach from the inside.” In addition to bribing politicians and infiltrating institutions, the CCP has also tried to disrupt the U.S. from within by inciting racial conflict and hatred, leadingAmericans to fight among themselves. The CCP has also exported large amounts of fentanyl and other deadly drugs to the U.S.
Perceiving Western countries to be in decline and looking for ways to direct attention away from its own domestic crises in China, CCP leaders are likely to pursue risky maneuvers abroad. They know that defeating the U.S. is a critical step toward dominating the world.
The CCP’s global ambition is a major threat not only to the U.S. but also to all of mankind. From the writings of Karl Marx to the CCP’s brutality today, it is clear what the world would become if its goals are achieved. More information about the CCP’s goals and methods can be found in the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.
I hope more people will learn the truth about this global threat. The free world and human rights cannot be protected unless we repudiate the CCP and its far-reaching influence.
