(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held an information day event on December 10, 2024 at Place de la Chambre in the center of Metz, a city in eastern France. Practitioners demonstrated the exercises, introduced Falun Dafa to people, and raised awareness of the brutal persecution of practitioners in China by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) that has been going on for 25 years.

Metz, a city in the Moselle department of Région Lorraine in France, is located east of the Paris Basin and has a long history. It’s urban architecture, scenic landscape, rivers and parks are well arranged, and it is known as the “Garden City.”

With Christmas approaching, the Christmas Market in the center of Metz drew many people. While passing Place de la Chambre on their way to the Christmas Market, many people stopped to read display boards about Falun Dafa, talk to practitioners, accept flyers and other informational materials practitioners offered, and sign a petition that called for an end to the persecution.

Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Are the Values that Everybody Should Follow

Jean-Jaques Couturier, a resident in Metz, learned that the CCP persecutes practitioners in China and even conducts forced organ harvesting on them. “Such persecution is really horrible,” he said. “It’s very important to pay attention to this issue and take action.”

Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are the core values of Falun Dafa. Couturier thought that everybody should follow them in their daily lives. Of course, everyone will do it based on their own judgment, Couturier added, but no matter what, trying to show such values and practice them is something we all can do within our own abilities.

The CCP’s Persecution Is Murder

Laure Barbara had a long conversation with practitioners during the event. “It is the violation of human rights to take away people’s right to make their own decisions, and to stop them from building connections with others, freely expressing themselves, and realizing their purpose of coming to the world,” Laure said. “The CCP is abusing its power in persecuting, and it is simply murdering.”

Laure also said that the CCP is a sham power and has nothing to do with the sacred force of life and the law of life, and that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is the ultimate standard. She cherished all these kind values. Kindness, love, and tolerance are what she pursues. She said, “Goodness will inevitably lead people to contribute to society. Therefore, keeping people in fear will prevent them from experiencing the full tranquility and fulfillment of life. This is persecution.”
