(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wu Qingyuan Sentenced to 5.5 Years

Mr. Wu Qingyuan, in his 70s, from the Jingyue District was arrested on February 29, 2024, by officers from Jingyue Boulevard Police Station. The Kuancheng District Court sentenced him to 5.5 years in prison with a 20,000-yuan fine in September 2024. He was transferred to Gongzhuling Prison shortly after.

2. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Chengyan Sentenced

Ms. Zhang Chengyan was arrested in December 2023 by Songyuan City Domestic Security Division officers. She was admitted to the Songyuan City Detention Center. When her family went to visit her in September 2024, they learned that she had been sentenced and transferred to Jilin Prison. The prison denied her family visit. Her exact prison term isn’t clear.

3. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Yinzi Sentenced to 1.5 Years

Ms. Li Yinzi, 72, a retired teacher, was stalked and arrested by Chuangye Road Police Station officers on April 30, 2024, for handing out Falun Gong flyers. Her home was ransacked and she was held in the Luoyang City Detention Center.。

The Jianxi District Court sentenced Ms. Li to 1.5 years in prison and fined her on August 16, 2024. According to her family who attended her trial, after being detained for four months, she was emaciated and hunchbacked.

4. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Qu Pengcheng and Fu Chongchun Face Trial

Mr. Qu Pengcheng, 59, and Fu Chongchun, gender unknown, were arrested on May 18, 2024, by officers from Liaoyang City’s Gongchangling Domestic Security Division, Anshan City’s Tiedong Police Department, and Anshan City’s Heping Police Station. The Dengta City Procuratorate issued their arrest warrants on June 20, 2024, and submitted their case to the Dengta City Court on November 12.

5. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Fu Xinhua Faces Trial

Ms. Fu Xinhua was arrested on March 13, 2024, and released the same day due to her physical condition. She was indicted around early November 2024, and her case was submitted to the Anci District Court. A court staffer and officers from the Beishijiawu Police Station took her to the courthouse on the afternoon of November 13, 2024, and tried to force her to sign certain case documents. She refused to comply.

6. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Yun Detained for One Month and Counting

Ms. Zhang Yun, 79, was arrested by officers from Yanta Distrit Police Station in October 2024. She has been detained ever since.

7. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lian Minqin’s Home Ransacked

Ms. Lian Minqin, an employee of the Shengli Oil Field, was arrested on the afternoon of November 4, 2024, after being reported for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The Binhai Police Department officers ransacked her home twice on November 12, 2024.

8. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Mr. Li Hui Detained

Mr. Li Hui was arrested by Yongxing County Domestic Security Division officers at the end of October 2024. He is being held in the Yongxing County Detention Center. The Yongxing County Domestic Security Division denied his wife’s visit request and even tried to arrest her.

9. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Xin Linyuan Admitted to Prison

Ms. Xin Linyuan, 71, was admitted to the Ningxia Women’s Prison in late September 2024.

She was arrested and taken to the Shizuishan City Detention Center on February 21, 2024, by Dawukou District Police Department officers. The Dawukou District Court tried her on June 6 and sentenced her to two years in prison with a 10,000-yuan fine on July 4. The Shizuishan Intermediate Court ruled to uphold her original verdict on September 9, 2024, three days after her appeal hearing.
