(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Mr. Mi Tiekui distributed desk calendars with Falun Gong messages at the Liugou Street Market on the morning of November 1, 2024. He was reported and arrested by Liugou Police Station officers.
Ms. Wang Zhongfang of Diaoyutai Village, Yunshan Town, was sentenced to three years in prison. She is being held in the Qingdao Second Detention Center.
Ms. Jin Runfang, Ms. Shao Hongzhen, Ms. Shi Meijun, Ms. Ni Cuiping, Ms. Cai Yufang, and Zhang Qin, gender unknown, have been under close surveillance by the authorities since November 1, 2024.
Ms. Li Shuxia put Falun Gong flyers on car windshields in July 2024 and was reported by a car owner. She was arrested at her son’s home on September 3, 2024, by officers from Yongning County Domestic Security Division. After taking her to the police station, they tried to force her to sign and fingerprint the deposition report. She refused to comply. She was detained for 12 days in the Yinchuan City Detention Center and was released on September 15, 2024.
Ms. Hou Suzhen of Qian’an City distributed Falun Gong flyers at a street market on the morning of September 17, 2024, and was reported. Three officers arrested her and took her to the Yejituo Police Station. They confiscated her flyers and interrogated her. She was released the same day.
An officer called Ms. Hou’s second son on September 29, 2024, who was working out of town, and ordered him to bring his mother to the police station. They threatened to arrest her at home if she didn’t cooperate. She went to the police station with her son and daughter. When the police asked her who gave her the Falun Gong flyers, she refused to answer. She was forced to sign the deposition report before being allowed to leave.
