(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Mr. Sun Xiaoming and his wife Ms. Zhang Fengxia, of the Hongshan District, were scheduled to be tried by the Hongshan District Court at 8:30 a.m. on October 11, 2024.
Among the 21 practitioners arrested in Dongying on November 29, 2023, Mr. Du Jianxin, his wife Ms. Wang Fan, and Mr. Fu Jian were tried by the Dongying District Court on July 3, 2024. They were scheduled to appear in court for the second time at 9 a.m. on October 16, 2024.
Ms. Zhang Yibo has been admitted to the third division at Shanghai Women’s Prison to serve a five-year term. Her fiancé, Mr. He Binggang, is serving a six-year term at the fifth division at the Tilanqiao Prison.
Cui Jun, gender unknown, was arrested at home by six officers from the Longquan Police Station around 6 p.m. on September 20, 2024. The officers ransacked Cui’s place and seized Falun Gong materials, media players, stickers, and paper currency with Falun Gong messages printed on them, and other items.
Cui was detained for 15 days, and was forced to sign certain documents when he or she was released on October 5, 2024.
Ms. Yu Yuqin, in her 70s, was arrested by officers staked out in front of her apartment building on the morning of September 28, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Desheng Police Station and questioned about her removal of a poster with messages defaming Falun Gong. The police extorted 1,000 yuan from her before releasing her.
Ms. Song Wenli was released on September 21, 2024, after she finished serving a two-year term in the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison.
