(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Mr. Hu Zihua from Chenxi County went to Zhuhai City to take care of his son’s child. He was seen by surveillance cameras when he was pasting up stickers (which had information about Falun Gong) on the afternoon of December 24, 2023 ,and was arrested by local police. He is being held in the No. 2 Detention Center of Zhuhai City.
Mr. Qi Yingjun was transferred from the No. 6 Detention Center of Jinan City to the Shandong Province Prison on December 20, 2023.
Mr. Cheng Junhong was recently arrested in Jieyang City.
More than ten practitioners, including Li Chunying, Du Xizhen, Zhao Guizhi, He Yuxiang, Liu Zhonglin and his wife, and Zhang, were harassed by officers from the Dalinghe Town Police Station and local community staff members on December 20 or 21, 2023. These people pretended to be checking their liquefied gas pipelines and heaters and tricked the practitioners or their family members into opening their doors. Once they got in, they looked around and asked the practitioners if they still practiced Falun Gong. They confiscated every Falun Gong book they found, and removed the wall posters and photos of Falun Gong’s founder. They ordered the practitioners to sign documents, and they photographed them. Some practitioners were taken to the police station and interrogated.
Ms. Han Qiuyan was arrested at home by three police officers one day in the summer of 2022. The police confiscated several Falun Gong books. After her husband brought her home, she was harassed by the police every one or two months. They wore body cameras and photographed her.
Ms. Han was arrested twice ten years ago and was fined. The constant persecution caused her husband’s health to decline. He is nearly 70, depressed, and has hyperglycemia. His eyesight is deteriorating.
Six practitioners were harassed by grid police officers in early December 2023. The practitioners included Ms. Wang Guihua, Ms. Zhou Yumin, Ms. Li Yifang, Zhan Ruilin, Ms. Ren Cuirong, and Ms. Zhou Yuling. Some practitioners were harassed at home, and some received harassing phone calls.
