(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 21 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Yao Liping, Ms. Wang Fengzhi, 78, Ms. Ren Shuxiang, Ms. Bing Shufen, Ms. Li Guiyun, and Ms. Fu Weiqin were arrested around 6:00 a.m. on January 9, 2024. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Bing and Ms. Li were released. The four others are being held in a detention center.
Mr. Xie Binzi, who was arrested by officers from the Harbin City Railway Police Department on December 12, 2023, was released that day.
Wang Hong (gender unknown), Ms. Xu Wenying, Xiaoping (nickname), and others were arrested by officers from the Harbin City Railway Police Department on December 13, 2023. Wang and Ms. Xu are being held in the Yaziquan Detention Center.
Mr. Feng Guogang, a Houyao Town resident, was arrested by Changtu County Domestic Security Division officers on the morning of January 9, 2024, for sending messages about Falun Gong on WeChat from his cell phone.
Ms. Yang Qiaoli was arrested on January 9, 2024. Police ransacked her home, seized her printer, two computers, paper currency with Falun Gong messages printed on them, and other items. She is being held in the Yintai Police Department’s Zhaojiayuan Detention Center in the Wangyi District.
Mr. Chu Qinghua’s mother was harassed at home again by officer Qu Yuezhong from the Xiashan District Domestic Security Division. Qu threatened her, saying that her son would be added to the police wanted list.
Ms. Zhang Shufang, 69, a Xiyang Town, Yongji County resident, was put into a detention center in November 2023. She was sentenced to three years and six months in prison.
Ms. Li Guixia, also a Xiyang Town resident, was deceived by officers from the Xiyang Town Police Station on the morning of December 5, 2023. The officers were led to her home by her village security director. She went with them to the police station and was taken to a detention center, where she was detained for 13 days.
More than twelve officers from the local police station and staff from the neighborhood blocked the door of Mr. Wang Minghui’s home around 10:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. They intended to arrest him. As a result, his family was unable to sleep, keep a normal work routine, or return home.
Ms. Huang Chenghui of Miyi County was arrested by instructor Shen Jianhong and officers from the Caochang Township Police Station on the morning of December 28, 2023. The police took her to her home, ransacked the place, seized three players, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and three pairs of couplets. They took her back to the police station and continued interrogating her. They ordered her to sign the police report. She refused. She was released around 9:30 p.m. that night.
The police went to Ms. Huang’s home and ordered her to sign the report again on December 30. She refused. They found her son and had him sign it.
Ms. Zhang Sufang of Bishan District was arrested for distributing Falun Gong flyers on December 26, 2023. The police ransacked her home and seized her Falun Gong books, a notebook computer, an iPad, and other items. She was taken to the Biquan Police Station and was interrogated all night. They made her undergo a physical examination, and kept her handcuffed all night. The next afternoon, they used force to photograph her and take her fingerprints. Handcuffed and shackled, Ms. Zhang was taken to the Jiangjin District Detention Center.
She was released on January 11, 2024.
Ms. Gao Sulian was arrested in the Huigong Morning Market on October 3, 2023, after someone reported her when she talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Huigong Police Station. The Shenhe Police Department put her on seven days’ administrative detention. She was released on October 10, 2023.
Ms. Wang Fenghuan was harassed at home by officers from the Yuanbaoshan Town Police Station on the afternoon of December 8, 2023. They seized her Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, an incense burner, a media player, and other items.
Ms. Zhang Xianrong was harassed by Yuanbaoshan Town police from November 30 to December 13, 2023. The police threatened her, and tried to take samples of her blood. She did not cooperate. They sized a picture of the founder of Falun Gong from her home.
